Amazing ride. A triumph of spirit over all the odds. Lesser mortals would have given up after the ear bleeding incident.
However, i do notice that there is a fine line between going for the IBA and risking ones life. I pray that next time you go for something like this.. odds are not that against you and you don't have to tread that line

Need to take some tips from you.

Congratulations dude!!! All RESPECTS to you!!!
Thanks Ankit! Even I was scared after seeing the blood red balaclava My mom doesn't know bout the bleeding yet She only knows that my eyes had become red due to lack of sleep and over stretching. Balaclava is still in my bike's front fairing hidden under the parking cover. If she comes to know bout the incident then there'll me WW3 at my place

Right man.. Being aware of the roads you will be attempting this incredible ride, is seriously important. I was just speaking, as I havent seen roads beyond goa & seen lot of roads of North.. Hence
Wonderful man..!! It needs guts..! Not a job of any TDH..!!
Exactly opposite is with me brother. I have never ever ridden in the north direction beyond Nashik. Never in my life. Have no clue what so ever bout the roads, directions and road condition

            Thanks friend.

Yes, you are right. There's immense risk involved in going for such rides because here it's the race against time. One has to push and push hard. But like I wrote, I was riding right on the margin of sanity. And keeping that delicate balance is learned only after years of riding and touring. Even after ripping like crazy I dont remember I had any close call where I felt like am crossing the limit. Only once while returning, when I was riding on the road beyond Hubli where there's no divider, I miscalculated the overtaking time and had to rush to dodge the oncoming vehicle. That's the only incident I remember where I yelled at myself. But quite right, maintaining that delicate balance is a tough task and you never know what may go wrong. It's your destiny after all.

Yes man.. Even I would have done the same thing but still. Your gloves helped me a lot. You must have seen the condition of my gloves Of course I was carrying spare GPR gloves but the comfort these DSG gloves give is totally different. See you soon!

                Superb man! What a writeup.

I faced similar problem with the balaclava too. Maybe this is because of bit broad faces, because same balaclava fits my wife perfectly. Also, make sure you buy a clear goggle if you are going to ride with open visor in night. Man that bleeding eye scenario was scary.

                Hats off to you!

                  Thanx brother.

Yes you are right. It may be because of the broad face and also the helmet padding. And bout riding with open visor, well I've purposely bought the clear visor for long rides so that I don't need to ride with open tinted visor.

I was riding with open visor that night because I didn't have time to wipe out the graveyard of insects off my visor. And even if I had wiped it out, it was gonna be the same within minutes. So to save time I opened the visor and continued riding

whoa man! great read and a much greater ride kudos to you for completing it mate!

those are some scary incidents man! seriously, blood from eye, I might have given it up then and there
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

                          Congrats on completing the ride.

After reading your description, you should not have continued riding specially after bleeding from your eyes. No ride is as important as one's life.

Hope you have shown the eye to a specialist.
