He was returning to tangste to pick up something they left forgot at the restaurant.Originally posted by inder.cool View PostBut, why was that innova heading to Pangong?
At least that is why that guy told me in the evening. If he is lying, I don't know why.Last edited by trustvishwas; 06-26-2010, 12:27 PM.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Who said that we would be riding on 50-60kmph...it was the heavy cross winds which had slowed down the speed..it was not by choice!Originally posted by trustvishwas View PostYes, we certainly left you behind on the first day. If you insist on riding at 50-60 kmph on a straight 6 lane highway with no traffic, I doubt that any one would be happy to ride at that speed.
If we ALL would have been sticking together as a group then SUCH situations wouldn't have arised at the 1st place..but since no-one agreed to that we had to face these kinda situations on such an important ride .. where group ride mattered the most..!!Originally posted by trustvishwas View PostYou will also have to admit that we both used to stop for you every instance. At no point of time, we left you behind. Please remember kargil when we waited for you for more than 1.5 hours. I can quote at least 10 spots where we both waited for you to arrive.

That was the speed you were riding at on Delhi - Jalandhar route and most of the highways during the ride in spite of several requests by me and rudra to increase your speed by at least 10 kmph. The cross winds were same for all three riders and not exclusive for you.Originally posted by inder.cool View PostWho said that we would be riding on 50-60kmph...it was the heavy cross winds which had slowed down the speed..it was not by choice!
I don't remember you two stopping for me before Ambala. All riders have to ride at a reasonable speed and try to match to the group. I also don't remember me leaving anyone behind at any point of time and riding off.Originally posted by inder.cool View PostIf we ALL would have been sticking together as a group then SUCH situations wouldn't have arised at the 1st place..but since no-one agreed to that we had to face these kinda situations on such an important ride .. where group ride mattered the most..!!Never argue with an idiot. You guys were able to ride fast in the crosswinds, good..but, i couldn't battle those winds beyond a certain limit..hence i was left behind..! And later(from ambala-jalandhar) if you could remember i was also catching up with the group..!!Originally posted by trustvishwas View PostThat was the speed you were riding at on Delhi - Jalandhar route and most of the highways during the ride in spite of several requests by me and rudra to increase your speed by at least 10 kmph. Me and rudra DID stop for you just before entering Ambala..did you forget!!? And later when we had our lunch and tanked up we were waiting for you below that tunnel where you were left behind when you were busy in getting the bsnl number activated by sending your guy to the bsnl office.Originally posted by trustvishwas View PostI don't remember you two stopping for me before Ambala. That was after our heart to heart talk about need to ride faster if we wanted to reach Pathankot (as planned by you) by night.Originally posted by inder.cool View PostYou guys were able to ride fast in the crosswinds, good..but, i couldn't battle those winds beyond a certain limit..hence i was left behind..! BTW, how do you know you were riding at more than 50-60 when you r speedo was not working?
How about the arrow straight highway after nimmu? We could see for next 5-7 km, road was arrow straight and absolutely no traffic in sight. Please don't say that bike wouldn't pull more. If my bike could pull faster, karizma won't have any problem.
You guys had to stop because there was a turnoff you wanted to take and it was not scheduled to be taken. The stop you mention was inside the city before we started our ride so doesn't count. Can you tell about any other time you stopped for me/rudra? How about Sonmarg - Srinagar ride? (not mentioning chang la) How about Zozila Pass when I had stopped for Aman?Originally posted by inder.cool View PostMe and rudra DID stop for you just before entering Ambala..did you forget!!? Even if the speedo is not working i can make out the speed coz i have been riding it since a very long time now and know exactly at what rpm reading what speed is the bike doing..!! If you can't make that out on your bike..i can't help with that..Originally posted by trustvishwas View PostBTW, how do you know you were riding at more than 50-60 when you r speedo was not working?
That problem was there since a very long and i remember telling that to you ample number of times that the bike wasn't going above 4k rpm. If your bike could pull more then good for you..bottom line is my bike wasn't pulling..believe it or leave it.Originally posted by trustvishwas View PostHow about the arrow straight highway after nimmu? That was for the lunch break and i guess that was needed that time.Originally posted by trustvishwas View PostYou guys had to stop because there was a turnoff you wanted to take and it was not scheduled to be taken.
About the Sonmarg-Srinagar ride..you only told us to move ahead! So me and rudra moved ahead. You and aman came later.Originally posted by trustvishwas View PostThe stop you mention was inside the city before we started our ride so doesn't count. About the Zozila pass, rudra had moved ahead and stopped at the point where we met another guy from pune on HH hunk and at one point of time(particularly when the down-slope started) i was waiting for you and aman to catch up.

Can I request you guys to slug it out with knives and fire please... this though exciting, is getting boring.
Inder, we all know your riding speed... the lesser said the better. Whethere you like it or not, similar conditions and same destinations calls for sticking around as a group together. As much as its important for them to slow down, its important for you to ride a bit faster too.
Lets not get too senty about this and drag in the I have ridden more than you argument here....1) its not healthy and 2) its not healthy!Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more
