Want to purchase tyres, and have narrowed down to Sirac Street Reinf. Should I purchase them or not? Would appreciate any inputs.
Or, Pilot Sporty is an option too.
I have a ZMA (2.75 front and 100/90 rear).
Mostly city usage, and occasional highway rides. Not much offroading (unless I encounter roads like in MP).

You can go for Front - Continental Contigo Rear - Pirelli Sports Demon.. these tyres not only looks wonderful but sticks like a leech on a road.

Hi all,

I have changed tyres for my Karizma today with (zapper fs 2.75 and zapper q 110/90) and let me sharemy experience. Initially i wanted to buy dual purpose tyre. I have driven Impulse a few thousand kms and i liked the grip of ceat tyres in gravel and cornering was also good .. i dont remember much regarding wet road.. I liked michelin sirac street grip but was bit concerned regarding cornering as i have driven my cousins bike with sirac street ( F - 2.75 / R - 3.00) which was changed a year ago and cornering was not good as the original zappers.

I initially got ceat grip 2.75 fitted on front and had a test ride. Center grip was good but i was not able to cut through easily as zappers and felt scary. So decided to stick with zappers and did not want to try anything new. So finally bought zapper FS (1800) and Q 110/90 (2750) with tube. I think Zapper Q has a bit harder compound than Zapper Y. Was a bit disappointed when rear wheel skidded a bit more on hard braking in the street where the road was a bit dusty(Typical roads which we have). I think zapper Q is good for clean roads only. Need to see how it behaves in rain... I would need get a crash bar made by a tinker next week end for my karizma as i getting more concerned about safety and we cant go with full riding gears each time we go out but Helmet is a must ..

Anybody out here who have used/witnessed "Chinese/Korean tyres" in India? Little do I know about its build and reliability. I am really curious to at least take a look at them. Any pointers to dealers here in Chennai?

ZMA rims are 18 inchers, Continental has sizes upto 17 inches only. I couldn't see 18" on its website.

Hi Guys

Sorry if this question has been asked before (Its a lazy sunday

) . How long would the stock eurogrips of pulsar 150 last? Mine have done 25k and I see that the left side of the tyre under the threads has bulged. It is a uniform bulge and runs all round the tyre but only on left side. Right is fine. Any idea on why this happend?

The thread is fine, loks like it wil last another 25k

But its only this bulge that sticks out like a sore thumb. Time to get poor??

I don't care if they look like Helen of Troy, all I need is somewhat better grip than the stock MRF zappers on the ZMA.

I've also read (CBR thread etc), that the contigo's are not very grippy.

Pirelli sport demon 120/80 18" is what you are looking for bro. Go ahead get them, very good balance between grip and tyre life. They would make the handling better as well because of a rounder profile. Much better than the stock mrf.

Bulges of any sort isn't a good thing to see in the tires. Again a bulge can be caused due to excessive sidewall pressure and making the sidewall of the tire weak which as a consequence you can see bulges. And if that's the case, I'd suggest you to replace the tires. Bulged, cracked and worn tires are disasters waiting to happen at the wrong time.

Thanks B7ACKTHORN. Its not the side wall. It is the main section of the trye that is contact with the tarmac that has bulged. And it is consistant all round the tyre only on the left part..

Anyways.. got a new ceat zoom t/l for rear. Going for a long ride, didnt want to be stuck in the middle with a blown tyre..

That's a wise decision taken. But curios, can you post a pic of your tire that has the bulges, so that we can get an idea as to the wear pattern.
