Yeah METEOR is the only one I have in mind for now. And I dont think it comes as TL.

Waiting for TT vs TL discussion.

Vertigo Sport(120/90-18) needs removal of Chain case in the ZMA(Not required in ZMR), where as Vertigo(100/90-18) doesnt require any. Both of them are good off the road and dry. Wet roads and corners, not a good option.

Have used Zapper Q, which is in fact good for a ZMA, gives better feedback than any other tyres in that segment.

Meteor comparatively good for off roads.

NOt sure if the new 110 section tyres also require removal of chain case.

Increase in the Section, doesn't mean its a dual purpose one.

Forget (Proper) TL options for ZMA, though you may find Many using the M45s as TL , personally i haven't had that confidence running as TL, so gone back to basics and using it as TT.

With the options provided so far for you query , i think you have got the answers. So its upto you to decide which one is favorable for you, than extending the discussion endlessly.

^^ Thanks! As I said above and few pages back too that Meteor is the one I am considering as of now. I never asked for more options unnecessarily, was just replying to posts that quoted me. Since another member also posted above seeking suggestions on TT or TL I pitched in cz I too need the same. Anyways, thanks again for wrapping it up.

I am planning new tyres for my p220.
First of all i want to use only stock size 120/80-17 at rear and 90/90-17 front .
For rear i have planned ceat vertigo rage .
For front i am thinking michelin pilot sporty . Both TL.
So please tell me are they both good ? Or m i making any mistake ?

And Is there any better option for front in same size ?

And i strictly dont want to go with stock zappers or vyde .want to try something new please suggest soon i am waiting will buy them after review .

SLIME can be used for tube tyres too, when I last inquired, with which the chap reported, not to use in tube tyres as such, but it can be used although, it's meant for tubeless for the most part and they even told me the after cleaning process removing the tube type tire is messy job. But you're right, it is meant to be used in tube tires too.

Michelin PS is good, but why don't you try Zapper VYDE for rear same spec as stock and it's a softer compound with rounder profile which aids in good cornering. For front you can consider the Pilot Sport for front, really good combo. MPS for the front and Zapper VYDE for the rear, cost effective solution. I use the VYDE for the rear.

            Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

I know vyde is good but want to give a try to ceat vertigo rage, i heard its an equally good tyre to vyde . M i right ?
I was concerned about front tyre though heard a lot of negative comments about MPS at forum. Any better alternative for them to front in same size ?

Also do i need to get weights adjusted on alloy after new tyres ? Weight balancing .

Dunno about vyde but i will strongly advice against usage of michelins. Been using michelin sirac for quite a while now. Initially the grip used to be good but now am dead scared to ride the bike in rainy season. I heard something similar regarding michelin pilot sport from a guy who used it.

Try using the R15s Zapper FY1 in the front that's a very good tire. Nothing as weight balalncing, but it's called wheel balancing, and yes it must be done after every tire change, just for improved alignment of the wheels.

VYDE and Rage don't differ much, but Vertigo Sport won't be that good an option for cornering, it's just a simple dual purpose tire. But ultimately the decision is upto you to zero in on what matters for you with the budget.

                  Cheers!

How much error will fy1 cause in speedo ? Lets suppose at 4k rpm in 5th gear now speed is 60kmph. Wat will be with fy1 at same rpm ?

And how many kms fy1 last ? Hows the rubber soft or medium?

FY1 is softer compound and that is the one that's used in the R15, excellent tire and very grippy. With the increase in diameter your speedo will show speed with respect to the rotation, but not actually engine speed, and the speedo error is not that big and it's quite negligible unless 1% or 2% +-.

Now you need to consider the spec w.r.t the tire size you want in the FY1 then consider the wheel diameter induced speedo error.

                      Cheers!

I just changed both tyres on my P220.Was running on stock till now.Got Michelin Pilot Sportys both on front and rear. Was actually looking for VYDE for the rear but no stocks at the dealers. Blessing in disguise though. The grip now is phenomenal. I can lean more than i could even dream with the stock. And lean at higher speeds. There is an 'S' shaped flyover bridge just before my office. Previously i used to tackle the curves at 45-48 max with the bike almost upright, but now i found that the bike can do the same even at 52-55. Loving them. However, the tyre noise seems to have increased. I paid 4.4k in Mumbai for the pair.U can also look at the Zapper FY1 for the front and the Zapper VYDE for the rear. Both are really good.

What size of pilot sporty you are using for rear ?

Hows the dry and wet grip ?
And handle feel ? Does it feel heavy than stock zapper ? Or light ?

The dry grip is just super. Haven't got a chance to test wet grip since I haven't ridden in rains post the change. However, once I did ride after a short drizzle. Feels safe. I am a safe driver specially on we're roads coz I have fishtailed a lot on wet roads previously. As for the size,I always go for stock. No upsize-downsize ever on any bike. Doesn't make any sense to me. Companies spend crores of rupees in RnD to decide what's the best for their product. IMO there is no sense in changing that
