  • Re: Tyres

The older activa/dio came with tyre + tuffup tubes. Then the newer activa/dio started coming with tubless tyres.

I am guessing the wheels are same for old and new, right?

So I should be able to the TL ones instead of TT ?

    • RX135 rear CEAT YEZDI tyre wobbling issue

      Hello experts,

I am facing strange wobbling issue in my RX135 4 speed rear wheel from quite some time. This Tyre is CEAT YEZDI (small size) relatively new with no baldness.

Tried many attempts of refitting it properly, altering the direction. But of no use. I also observed bike is skidding in hard breaking.

Guys anybody had the same issues and solved it please anyone shed some light on it . Its really killing my driving experience

      Regards,

My p220's rear tyre is up for a change, recently installed Michellin Pilot sporty at front, what are your suggestions for rear considering I ride 70% ONROAD and 30% OFFROAD? Some tyres I've shortlisted are:
          1)MRF Zapper Vyde(my curent tyre).
          2)Michellin Street Radial.
3)MRF Mogrip(Reviews on this tyre are welcome).
          Thanks.

Damm.. ceat yezdi? Havent heard of it. But check a few things.
              Its a rear tyre right?
Hard compound? Then its bound to happen. What is the tyre size? Air pressure? Rosds you ride on?
It can be caused by anything from a bent rim to an off alligned rim and even brake issue! Swingarm issue. Swingarm bushes being shot.... So a pic and the above info will help us narrow it down for you. Put it on main stand. Face the wheel hub and move the tyre laterally... a few cms of side to side movement suggests shot bushes.

Recently happen to stumble upon this, and at first, my impression this was a tyre replaced by the owner of the bike, but then upon inquiry, newer lots of TVS Apache series are shod with the tyre called REMORA (is what I was able to discern out of the font ), the thread pattern is similar to Pirelli series. Upon test drive, the tyre performs comparatively better than the earlier TVS tyres. Both front and rear get new tire treatment, and according to the showroom sources, the prices of the bike has gone up by a few thousand bucks. Improvement in tire? Well, I guess so! Somewhere my "spider sense" says, Michelin maybe the culprit here.

Couldn't have a detailed report, as I got to ride a brand new unregistered bike just for a few KMS. Posting some pictures below.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                  The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                  THE END

I was just about to post this. I saw an apache white 160 today with these same tyres. Owner is a friend he said its new to the apache and said better then previous tyres. Could not take pics but owner mentioned that the tyres are crap when cold. Riding for a km or too and they gripp well. Guess tvs is learning. Michelin dealer friend says Michelin sales have dropped since the tie up with tvs. The companies are having s rift. Guess tvs is fixing up so that Michelin doesn't get angry? Benefit we all will get!!
Ps: tyres had those red dual stripes in the right side I guess of the tyre road contact surface.
Tvs now listen to us even more....lauch the draken

This Tvs and Bmw tie is heading the same way of Tvs Suzuki, Suzuki didn't got any benefit from Tvs and Tvs learnt whole lot of things from Suzuki, same thing will happen this time.Michelin won't be able to harness any benfits and Tvs will be accessed to latest tyre techonlogy and in the end rift between the two companies and eventually separation.

Too grippy an hence loss in performance?!
I hope you mean that they will be heavier which is also wrong for a soft compound.

                              Hey Guys,

Need help with the front tyre 80/90 - 17 for R15. This is not available in Hyderabad market. All the MRF dealers are suggesting to chose a different option as there is shortage and some of them are saying MRF stopped manufacturing. Will the R15 V2.0 front tyre be the next alternative. Please suggest me the correct alternative.
