Really have no idea on this but I suppose the rims of all activas are same. Any activa owners here?!

I am looking for a good, all rounder kinda tyre for my Yamaha SZ-R with good wet and dry grip but it should not be puncture prone. Please help...

      My rear tyre size is 100/90 x 17 and 2.75 x 17 for front

I found this tire on olx and that guy has mentioned Ceat zoom on his advertisement but as per my knowledge Ceat zoom is a front tyre. Can anybody tell me which tyre is this and how is its performance...??

Stick with the stock ones. R15 v1 tyres have great grip, and if you are happy with stock then no need of changing brand.

r15's and dazzler's rear tyre are 100/80 and 110/80. So both will hamper my bike's performance. Well i guess michelin pilot sporty and ceat vertigo are poles apart or you think both are good for regular use...?? I am very confused because of available options. I would be very grateful if somebody can throw some light on ceat gripp xl's performance and how is michelin sirac street...?? some are saying its good and some are against it...?? here's link for ceat gripp xl

Why will a 100 section rear from an r15 hamper performance where as a 110 section rear from ceat wont?! See the height of the tyre is lesser by 10mm in some and more in some. More height = relaxed cruzing, better top end, reduced acceleration and a wee bit better fuel economy. Where as its the opposite, engine will rev more, better initial, reduced top end, a wee bit lesser economy for the tyre with a smaller height. Do take into account that tyre width on paper is different once the tyre is fitted on your rim. A rounder profile 110 section can give better overall handling and fuel economy than a flat faced 100 section tyre! Hell the tyre weight can also cause changes!!

Now, no match for ceat grip on wet roads and bad roads, its good on tarmac as well. Lasts ok not too less not a lot. Difficult to find in shops in calcutta is what I see. Not too puncture prone but has the occasional niggles.

Dry tarmac the r15 v1 rear tyre is miles ahead off any of the above. Hell id pit it against any tyre this side of the pirellies on dry tarmac. Phenomenal. Sucks on off road bits and is puncture prone. Wears out fast.

Dazzlers rear tyre is an excellent all rounder. Does everything good and nothing great. Difficult to source here too.

Ceat vertigo is an excellent off road and wet tarmac tyre great on anything you throw at it slush gravel mud wet sand shit and what not. Dry tarmac performance can leave more to be desired and yeah it isn't as puncture prone as others. Lasts quite a bit.

Michelins again a mixed bag.. tvs manufacturing is f. ing them up.... some batches are good some are bad.... very inconsistent. I notices 2 at a dealers one was hard and shiny other was soft and matt finish. Even weight differed and only a few weeks manufacturing date apart!! I have one on my bike never lets me down except on waterlogged no tarmac all ankle deep mud in a some areas. Choose wisely.

Exactly... I wanted to take pics but the phone I had then had no flash and so blurry crap images wouldn't prove anything and I couldn't possibly weigh them either. but I was soooo soooo angry at michelin...

Thanks a lot for such a long reply. I dont want to alter the height of my tyre as it will alter my bike's gearing. However width can be increased because ceat gripp is not available in 100/90 size and other options like mrf zapper c are regular default tyres with limited wet grip. I like mrf zapper q but i guess zapper q is available in 18inch diameter only

Please suggest me options with 90mm height.

P.S. Ceat gripp xl is attracting because of its all round ability and ceat's quality.

                            CBR 250r riders :

Highly recommend Michelin Pilot Street Radials for rear and MRF Zapper Tubeless for Front.

It literally, drastically improves traction, braking, cornering and handling while preventing wheel locks during downshifting... I cannot imagine how much of street capacity Honda sacrifices by using ContiGo as stock on this steed. Basically if you are a CBR250r rider on ContiGos ... i can safely say you haven't fully experienced the bike yet... It responds even better on the mentioned set of wheels.

                            Cheers all.

Didn't know about this. Sounds weird. I've recently changed my rear tyre, moved from MRF to Michelin, and I'm very happy with my switch. Michelin provides much better grip and bike is more stable in corners now.

+1. I'm also using Michelin Pilot Street Radials (140/70) rear and MRF Zapper/FX (100/80) on my Fazer, and agree with the mentioned points.
