My brother's well maintained p180 ugIII gives 40-45 in normal riding. 60kmpl is just unbelievable.

Guys, take this mileage list with a pinch of salt... How can Avenger give 50? And how can my Pulsar 180 give 59?

I think this is ideal situation test. New bike, single person, highway ride, etc..

Because, I myself tested my pulsar after service on highway riding, 40-60 kmph, and 1 pillion behind me, carrying a petrol bottle having 200 ml petrol.

The mileage turned out to be 48.5 kmpl... Now, I can take it upto 52 or 53 max. 59 seems so tough!!

i always fill with Shell Super Petrol which is having a price of 61.5 here in Bangalore and which i think is very high.. and now 3.5 more.. huh.. I think i have to take the public transportation from now on.. ..

the price hike would even effect the bus fares also because they run on diesel & diesel's rate is also going to increase.

But the fare would not be directly proportional to my bike mileage... Even if the fare increases manifold, it will still be better to commute using the public transportation services....

had some work in pondichery....filled petrol to the brim...petrol costs only rs 46 there.
here in chennai it costs rs 52

actually from what i have heard the petrol costs more in metro cities( or capitals) & less in normal villages & other cities.

i always fill with Shell Super Petrol which is having a price of 61.5 here in Bangalore and which i think is very high.. and now 3.5 more.. huh.. I think i have to take the public transportation from now on.. ..

Actually only oil companies under indian govt subsidy will have price hike as they will be freed from it..
companies like shell who determine price upon world market rate will not be affected..
so actually we can see more people filling fuel from shell petrol pumps as the difference between prices of shell n Indian oil cos(IO, BP, HP) will reduce..

Actually i did not realize this at the time of posting. Good, now I can happily fill Shell super without worrying that its too expensive. As it is..the bike mileage improves by at 15% whenever I fill Shell. Seems like its a really profitable news for companies like Shell/ Reliance Petroleum with more people happily filling fuel over there.

Yaa truely Shell Super do increases Bikes mileage and also engine efficiency.

PS: IMO All Reliance Petroleum outlets are closed now. Correct me if I am wrong.

@mav1234 most have curtains on. the infrastructure is still there. many are currently exclusively selling LPG/CNG. But the situation wont take too long to change now that fuel subsidies die.
