In bangalore a liter of petrol will now cost close to 60 bucks.

See my post on the earlier page. The minister says the hike is only marginal. Pay close attention to the figures mentioned.

today i was shocked to see the news. If i would have been in a hurry & would have skipped the tv then i wouldnt have come to about this price hike. As soon as i came to know about this price hike i ran to my nearest petrol bunk & filled petrol of 300. Lucky that my bike had got a tank of 13 litres

                  +1 to that.

Now just hope that the opposition party makes a very big issue of this matter so that the ruling party can change its decision.

congratulations in advance for your new bike. Do post your ownership experience.
I heard that the prices of petrol is high in metro cities. I guess that the price of petrol might be less in tumkur & maybe in nelamangla also because they come out of bangalore.

unfortunately this has no end at all dude. I am worrying for the day when the petrol will become Rs.100/liter. At this rate of price increase that day is not too far away.

Nope, rates in tumkur are 53.14 per liter normal petrol. State taxes themselves are high as even the charges in the RTO as the same as bangalore.

I guess time to depend more on public transport and cycle for short distances, however price rise is something that is to be expected.

Instead of the petrol itself, I think prices for every commodity will increase as transportation prices are bound to increase which will increase prices of everything else ! So its just not that the hike will see your fuel tank with lesser fuel, but also lesser food and what not !
