Petrol price fluctuation and monitoring (India)

We BANGALOREANS are the worst affected by the prices of fuel. Already the petrol here is costing something around 57.95 & now with the price increase it will cost 58.XX.

The existing price for petrol in B'lore (at PSU oil bunks) is 58.09. I haven't seen 57.xx anywhere in B'lore!!
& Shell unleaded was 58.95.

Shell Premium was around 50 paise cheaper last week when I filled up at the bunk on Hosur road. Cant recollect the exact price of a liter though.

Ethanol can be a good substitute for petrol. We are already using it as all the petrol sold in our country contains 5% of ethanol. The premium petrol contains even more amounts of ethanol. The only problem with ethanol is its residues. The ethanol produces acids & moisture which can corrode the engine internals.

Don't think we are using 5% ethanol blend here in India.. it's still in proposal stage.. govt. is still discussing the effects it might have on sugar production and all that.

one is across the NH4 from indira collage (super ~64) and the other one is near hinjewadi chowk near Domino's (super 60.55 and unleaded 59)

the only thing I don't like about them is they remain closed on sundays.

By the way, if you now fill for a minimum of 350 bucks you get a scale model ferrari toy car absolutely free. They have 5 models to give away and the offer is open for the next 2 months. Dont forget to ask if the pump attendant forgets. You can give them away later if you dont need the toys (collectors, kids, anyone interested )

Now i am getting a bit confused over here. I remember seeing the petrol price something around 65.XX recently & the shell normal was for 58.10

There are only two types of petrol. One is normal & the other is super(premium). Right or am i missing on something or have i misread the price??

Shell petrol pump here in Nellore closed few days back due to no business! A year or two ago one had closed... Now this one too has closed! No more shell fuel now

The scale model toys are given even when you fill normal petrol... not limited to premium only. The toys are palm sized.

I got my R15 tank full at Shell on last Monday at Raidurg Bunk , Hyderabad . The cost of Shell Super was around 62 . Decent.

What??? Yesterday I filled my tank with shell super Rs. 500 !!! they didn't give me anything.
