Bosch's twin electrode plug which comes with the rtr is hotter in comparison to the NGK CR7E and the iridium CR7E IX .So it would be an change for the better if you go for NGK .Personally i have been using the CR7E IX iridium plug when my fiero was stock and now also when it's converted to an 200 cc bike.Iridium plug is much much better. You can feel the bike being smoother than before and it wont heat up easily on revving the bike for long .It also gives a better average too. It's good for the engine ,that's for sure.

my mechanic broke the point of my NGK Iridium plugs. i am still usiing the same plug. Is there any problem using the plug as it is in proper condition just the nib is broken. i am going to buy a new one but from now on will remove the NGK plug when giving it to the mechanic for servicing.

Better you change the mechanic! someone who breaks a Iridium should get a broken neck.

        all cheers

I changed my NGK Spark plug which was broken from point with the new NGK Iridium and changed the spark plug cables to MSD cables. i got NGK for 550/- and MSD Cables for 400/- each ( I required 2 cables as i have DTSi). Initial pick up is better now than before but not a big difference. I could feel the difference in power delivery which is more linear now. Maybe also becoz i changed the cables for the first time in my 6years old bike. but these cables will be long lasting so they are expensive.

The throttle response will improve by a good margin and linear power delivery which i experienced on my bike... i don't think there is any cons for this... anyways its better than a stock spark plug...

I think the stock spark plug will be the conventional spark plug from NGK itself? don't know about ZMA...

AFAIK, an Iridium plug doesn't give your bike a huge boost in performance. Just that it ensures a more cleaner and consistent burn during the combustion process. The performance increase, however marginal, is very negligible. The only time it would be very apparent would be during cold starts when definitely helps the engine start up more easily. But the upsides are that it gives a very consistent performance compared to conventional spark plugs even during very intense and prolonged rides where an ordinary plug's performance would fade off with the stress being put on it. That's when the Iridium plug would definitely show why it's more expensive. Otherwise, for everyday city riding the benefits are hardly apparent.

But, yes, it's definitely better than stock.

                      Just my $0.2.

Is there any site from which we can order NGK Iridium spark plugs? There are no dealers in my city so buying online is my only option.

I need "NGK Iridium DPR7EIX-9" model.

NGK spark plugs available in three varieties.
                          1. Conventional normal NGK.
                          2. G-Power.
                          3. Iridium.

Stock Karizma comes with NGK spark plug (conventional). Also the new Dazzler comes with NGK.

G-power is better than conventional and Iridium is better than G-power.
