don't touch the black colored poles & its wire which are soldered to the stator coil those are for ignition.....
you should only de-solder the wire which are circled with white color...
    re-wind with 19swg wire

      • There was a query regarding Ambition's stator coil i think in this thread or some other i don't remember.

I had checked with the mechanic and he said that the CBZ classic / star and Ambition share the same stator coil i.e. the one shown in the pics above.

Hope this helps others trying for alternate options.

Ambition stator has 12 poles as shown in the above picture, but there are no ignition coils.

          • Hello.. could anyone help me out here..?
I ve two 55/60W H4 halogens. Thinking of installing one on my Hunk. (2011)

            1. What all mods do I need to do..?
            2. Is DC convertion necessary for a halogen..?
            3. Do I need to change the RR..? (can the stock RR handle 60W)
            If yes, which one..?

PS :- Not thinking of HID and projector right now

1.the mods which you can do is just convert everything to dc and put ape rr or just re-wind the lighting coil of your hunk stator with the 19swg wire & use regulator(rr) unit of bajaj avenger.
2.No it is not necessary for halogen...
3.Yes u should change the rr, you can use avengers rr(rectifier/regulator).

if reading comes in - then the battery is discharging...and if it does'nt show any sign then this means current is going to the battery( means charging)....

                          Hey Rprathin

I am going to rewind the coil today. Just wanted to know what should i do with the green wire (i think it is the ground) and neutral indicator wire. Should i leave them as it is?

Will post the pics once the rewinding is done.

just touch the wires which are related to the the lighting and charging coil..
                            don't touch other wires..

                                Thanks rprathin,

The conversion to DC is done. Did not have the patience to take pics.

The battery was fully drained out as i had installed the HID first before the rewind. every thing was dead - horns, indicators, brake/tail lights and the neutral indicator as well.

After the rewind the horns started working after twisting the throttle just twice and after a 10 minute test ride the battery was charged to some extent to run the indicators, brake lights and HID.

I would like to thank you for your help and support and Shreeni for starting this thread.

Now i just hope that everything runs fine.
