If you cannot source 10W30 oil there use the closest possible viscosity, like 15W50 or any other oil whose rating starts with 15W. that should be fine. You can use Motul 15W50. Even other companies sell semi-syn and synthetics in that grade.Originally posted by ovey View Postthere are no hh sarvice center in bangladesh. and no hh oil.
non of this 10w30 oil is available
BTW, How did you get hold of a Hero Honda bike in Bangladesh?

@ovey....cant help much as the grade is not available with you there...but whatever oil you use, NEVER EVER USE CAR ENGINE OIL IN A MOTORCYCLE, not even by mistake. It will do nothing but destroy your engine forever..--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Current rides-
Iron 883 (2015- ); Interceptor 650 (2019- )

@nageshwar...my friend's Discover ran on 20W40 (company recommended). We used 20w50 in it and there were absolutely no problems even after 10k kms. We tried 15w50 (from Motul i think), and again it was running fine..--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks enfro, it will be a good news....Actually i was thought of changing eoil on season basis.Mine is gs recommamded is 20w40......in summers in hyderabad the temperature soars like anything...hence thought of using...20w50(not know, but the coming summer......) and shifting normal 20w40 in winters.......or the best is it shift to 10w50/15w50 in all the seasons......lets us see what some others riders says....and than on trila basis i will use it......Originally posted by enfro View Post@nageshwar...my friend's Discover ran on 20W40 (company recommended). 1)After shifting to 20w50....have you noticed any bike struggle to pump oil....since it si thick when compared to 20w40......
2)In what aspects have you noticed improvement overall in the bike....
Thanks,
Nag.

I bought myself a Motul 3000 4T 20W40. Will use it in the next servicing. Anyone have any idea about how long (how many kms) I can use the fuel for before the next servicing? Currently using Petronas Sprinta 4T 4000 10W40 which doesn't do a good job in the summers I feel. I have a Pulsar UG2.
