Engine Oils

Where did you get it from ?
I searched few shops from where I used to buy 300V, couldn't find it there

Try it in Baner SUS rd link road, ahead calsoft there is this mech guy, he stocks Motul Oils.

Aru Traders - Near Dashabhuja Ganpati chowk, Karve Rd flyover after SNDT college.

Sanj350 and Redflash- Members of pune xbhp, Sanjay's brother and RedFlash's dad has motul ka dealership. (You might get it at dealer price)

Loads of sources for this oil... I even found it at BK SVC on sinhagad road.

It works perfect buddy.

Engine oil for Dazzler

Hi,

Can any body please suggest a good oil with grade for my Dazzler which is 13 months old and 5500kms done.

I am from bangalore and currently using Honda oil.

in mineral the standard honda oil is the best.

Gulf synth 10w30 and valvoline 10w30 being discussed in the past 2-3 pages are the best buy in price of 300.

surprised, no one has come up with an answere to your question..
Motul 5100 is 15w50 - not suitable.
I think the best oil for your bike is motul 300v 10w40.
Shell ax7 is ss and shell advance ultra is fs.. Both are good.

Can you also let me know if i can change to Synthetic or Semi Synthetic at 5.5K on the odo or stick to mineral oil.

you can choose any 'bike' oil anytime.. Honda recommends 10w30.. With the entry of these low cost ss or fs oils(discussed recently).. You are getting a very good deal in the price of 300.. But if you still want to use other oils use 10w40 fs or ss oils.. In mineral sticking to a good quailty 10w30 is a good option.. But 20w40 can also be used in this hot weather!

@hunkofgals - which oil are you talking about? Bajaj 10,000 dtsi ? Thats a ss oil as per my knowledge.. Just like gulf 20w40 10,000 km oil.. These dont last more than 2000 km.. i.e they lose comfort of riding. But they must have done some studies where the oil retains its protective power till 10k.. :-)

i asked SVC guys which oil they use they said 20W50 bajaj oil and nothing more
so im confused whether to use it on my duke or not

just use motul 15w50 factory line.. you will not put anything else..

I inquired in an auto spare parts shop here in bangalore. He quoted me 950/- per ltr. This is for the motul 300v factory line.
N for ur betterment it is well-worth to change a Fully synthetic oil in the intervals of 5k kms.. not more than that. normally they run even more than that. but it is better to change at the 5k mark so that ur engine will breath healthy oil through out.
The FS oil tends to lose its property and tends attain the features of an ordinary Engine Oil. So, this drastic change in oil properties may have and adverse affect on ur engine in the long run.

any idea about motul 7100 20W50 ?

u mean to say after that 5k mark they loose their oil property and become like a mineral oil so we need to change them every 5 k kms ?
