I use Valvoline 20W40. Is Gulf 4T 20W40 better for my P150? Both cost around the same I guess.Originally posted by Raccoon View Post^^^ As far as Indian Semi-synthetics go, its amongst the best and great VFM! Don't even compare it with crap Castrol.Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

its not...it heats up the bike like crazy...causes hard gearshifts and reduces the pickup. Stick with AGIP..u wont go wrongOriginally posted by krishnan6015 View PostGuys just want to know whether Castrol Power1 Racing is worth for money on RTR FI..? Will be changing the oil by next week.

I haven't personally used Valvoline (any grade) or Gulf 20W40. A couple of my friends have used it, and say it (Gulf) is great... better than Motul mineral at least. Don't know how it compares with Valvoline. Point worth noting is the Valvoline I saw was semi-synth (Rs. 299, with Rebook socks) and Gulf 20W40 is apparently mineral (about Rs. 200). IMO, you should definitely give Gulf a try... even if its equally good as Valvoline, you will save ~50% on oil costs.Originally posted by abhijeet080808 View PostI use Valvoline 20W40. Gulf 10W30 is labeled semi synth and is only slightly more expensive. Valvoline has come out with 10W30 now (dunno price), and I'm tempted to try it to see how it performs compared to Gulf. If anybody has tried it yet, please do share your experience.

I know AGIP is good but the way u commenting on CP1R !!
I used it for almost 7000kms and it did its best. Have done 160kms non stop rides twice a week.
But yeah what all u said holds good for Castrol Power 1... Not the Power 1 Racing... With my experience.. Anyways personal opinion, no offense
Petronas Sprinta 5000 fully synthetic is complete VFM.

Yeah I do because you need to ride the R15 pretty high up to make the most of its power. So prefer changing my oil every 2k for better engine life, which was not possible with the CP1R. I liked the oil a lot but it was too costly an affair to change it after every 2k.Originally posted by Shreeni0403 View Post
U mean to say, u change even SYNTHETIC oil for every 2k

My experience with CP1R is very good for my ZMA-R. Still using it.Originally posted by krishnan6015 View PostGuys just want to know whether Castrol Power1 Racing is worth for money on RTR FI..? Will be changing the oil by next week.
Good suggestion. Wanted to try Motul 300V myself but could not get it in ZMA grade.Originally posted by Puneet1 View PostInstead of CPR1 try the full synthetic Motul ,valvoline or petronas oils .
My personal experience is very different. Smooth engine, smooth gearshift etc. In short, better in all areas to stock oil. I am talking about power 1 Racing.Originally posted by RedApple View Postits not...it heats up the bike like crazy...causes hard gearshifts and reduces the pickup. Stick with AGIP..u wont go wrong
