^^^ basically it might not be a true semi-synthetic rather a highly formulated mineral oil in other words premium mineral oil
today the term "semi-synthetic" is common in most companies products
like castrol, valvoline ,veedol and gulf too
between if u r sc oil is idemitsu u can go for it but avoid mak oil

Which Oil ??/ Foot Pump
Hi Guys can anyone tell me which oil should i use i am gonna travel approx 3600km in 15 days with a average run of 250km per day so can anyone tell me which oil should i go for Brand I have a 100cc BAJAJ engine..................and the bike is ct100
My bikes standard specification of oil is 20w40 so can i go ahead and put 20w50 oil in my bike so that it can keep my engone a little bit more cooler than the specified oil.................??
and my last question i have taken two spare tubes can anybody tell me where can i get a foot pump in Mumbai ??
Bikes don't leak oil, they mark their territory.

well.. first thing, Vivek, congrats on trying this feast on CT100..
I would recommend to go for good 20W40 only.. as 20W50 might put strain the engine..
for cheap and BEST, you can try Gulf, Mineral Oil, 20W40.. cost around 210Rs.. Buy one liter extra and carry in your luggage..
keep checking oil after every 1000 KMs, if the oil level dips, top up with the second can. after 2500 Kms, if you feel bike getting harsh, change engine oil..
best of luck.. and do share how did your ride go..
I have been ripping 100+ speed for upto 600KMs a day on my P150 with Gulf.. and found it better than all other mineral and semi synthetic oils that I tried.. *haven't tried motul though..

@Vivek100cc : You can go for Valvoline 20W40.....Valvoline has a strong epidemic towards lower cc bikes
Valvoline is an Synthetic Blend Oil - so you get more a smoother ride and also a better acceleration - CT100 being high on low end acceleration - this oil will prove worthfull....
Happy riding.

Vivek, in 20W40 , '40' means the viscosity of liquid at higher temperature of engine.. we must not fiddle with that.. If you run with that engine oil, it might damage the engine and engine will start getting hot after very little riding..Originally posted by Vivek100cc View PostHi guys i have a ct100 i recently changed the engine oil i used 10w30 in my bike but the standard specification is 20w40 will this cause any problem to my bike ??
better drain it ASAP and switch to 20W40.
