Hi...

Guys ., just a small doubt....

Right now i am running with semi-syn oil on my P150 ug3.... But i am very anxious to use MOTUL 3000 4T (as it suites pulsars perfectly).

how many kms will it last ??

Also , since my bike has run with enough semi-syn oils for past 2 yrs , Sudden change and trying of this mineral oil(motul 3000 4T) , will affect ??

I was wondering whether to shift to yamalube semi synthetic. My bike's done around 500km. Thought of using this before upgrading to fully synthetic.

OMG, r u sure, my mech keeps talking abt dat oil, mine is a CI engine, is it probably becoz of that...

For Bullet CI, it is fine to use car oils (20W50) for engine as long as you are not using it in the clutch (left of the motorcycle) where you put about 400-450 ml oil.

For clutch, you need buy a JASO MA or JASO MA2 oil, which is meant for clutches. Moreover, right grade for clutches is 10W20. You may use 10W30 since 10W20 is not available as far as I my knowledge goes.

Regarding castrol power1 racing

Hi,
I was searching for Castrol Power 1 Racing (10w 40, Full Synthetic) from 1 month, and placed an order through a local castrol dealer(hyderabad) nearly 2 to 3 weeks back. And after a great wait, I happened to call the castrol guys at mumbai (customer care : 022-66984144) to check the reason for shortage and came to know that the production of Castrol Power 1 Racing (10w 40, Full Synthetic) is STOPPED. Let me know if anyone heard about the same news.

their is no such rule that says mineral to semi synthetic then synthetic.

we can switch to synthetic directly from mineral, but apart from engine run in period let the other parts of the bike to settle down, would suggest you to wait till 5000 kms on odo before switching to synthetic.

i crossed almost 7.5 kms on odo and still with mineral oil

thats my suggestion only, so if you wish you can switch to synthetic its your bike you know what it needs

Please tell me the available oils of same grade or superior grade (not the inferior ones) with their names and price which will also be available in Bangalore.

For the pulsar breed only the valvoline oils can suit the best. Get the valvoline premium 20W50.

Saw Motul 7100 10W40 FS with the motul dealer today when i went to purchase 300V for my RTR. I did'nt pick it up as i have experimented enough with engine oils for my RTR.

Its was cheaper than 300V. 7100 mrp was 725rs dealer was ready to give it for 650rs. 300V costed me 850rs.

Has anyone used 7100 here before?
