I used sprinta for almost 5k kms & it was looking good for another 500 or 1000Kms, I wonder how it could work pretty opposite in your CBZ
Dude the sprinta was indeed gud but i was finding it ruff after 2000kms and then uneven knocking started. But ride was butter smooth.Only thing was oil was dark chocolate brown and had lost its viscosity and was watery type.Mabbe the petronas is not for city riding conditions like i do in mumbai here,so had to drain it on 2730kms and a bought a can of shell advance ultra FS.Really gr8 oil for now i must say.Long report coming soon

The Sprinta oil is very thin & watery.. may be it is one of a case because the sprinta worked very well on my friend's uni & I had read here in XBHp that most of the Ppl are very happy with sprinta & it could run for atleast 4k kms without any issues.

i will wait for the Shell advance ultra Fs report from you, the shell advance 10w40 SS worked pretty well with me as i said in my previous post & I m now thinking of using it in my Tvs Fiero

i dunno about pack details n all dude. But yea motul wud be really gud for zmr!! Drain period shud be around 5k kms.And ya buy 2 cans so that u can keep the 2nd can for top ups, since motul dries up quick u wud require the 2nd can to top up very often.

2.smooth n soft Firing (never heard such firing b4,luv it)
3.No Knocking now (was very much with sprinta 5000T)
4.Pulls very smooth in every gear (a beast now)
            5.Better acceleration.
            6.Avg shot up 3kmpl (it was 39-40kmpl b4)

              Congos dude..

I never could able to get anything more than 36, 37kmpl from my bike..

talking about synthetic oils I suggest you try motul 300vFL 15w50 grade oil once.. I used it for 6k kms & it is the best oil in all of the lot I have used.

in my personal opinion motul 300v FL is the best oil in business. costs more than 800/-. comes with 1 ltr can. so, u have to buy two cans. make sure u take the correct grade
another FS oil from motul is 7100 available in 20W50 & 10W40. i guess ZMR runs on 10W40. its a bit cheaper than 300V FL. costs a bit more than 700/-. motul dealer at sakinaka read my earlier posts for exact address. he gives good discounts.

                    • fz-s oil grade

sorry if this has already been answered but searching this thread is insane due to its size(tried and failed). I was reading my owner's manual today to see the correct grade of oil to be used in my bike( yamaha fz-s). It has listed 20w40 AND 20w50. Which of these grades is better for my bike? keep in mind I live in bangalore so the climate isn't too cold. Also my bike is approaching 3000 km and am planning on changing to fully synthetic. As of now I am using semi synthetic yamalube from the service center itself... please advise.

If u feel ur bike is heating a bit more dan normal then u can go for 20w50 or else 20w40.Dont shift to fully synthetic oil so quick let ur bike run for more than 8000kms then shift to fully synthetic.Stick to yamalube if u dont have any problems with it.Or elz options r always der like valvoline, petronas sprinta 2000T,castrol activ, gulf, elf moto 4 gold, veedol super swift etc
