guys some engine oil recomandation for rtr 180 i rip my byk daily and change gears at 8rpm n travel foe 70km daily ?????

If you want engine protection go for a 20W50 engine oil JASO MA2.W50 will make the bike rev slower but give better heat stability and ring sealing under stress ..better than w40. Since you rev your bike hard to 8K RPM and also travel 70 Kms daily a w 50 is a better option.
A mineral oil changed every 2 K to 3 K Kms is better than Synthetic changed at every 5 to 6 K Kms...you will have fresh oil often,and engine will feel good....Just my thought

The most important thing to note while going for an oil is to first check if it is JASO MA2 compliant.Second is to choose an oil grade closer to recommended grade..and considering our hot temperature conditions it is better to go for thicker oils.Old ZMA had 20W40 and ran well.Present recommendation is 10W30. The problem with thinner oil is under REPEATED heat stress , the oil becomes thinner ,and a thinner oil has lesser heat carrying capacity and hence lesser cooling effect.So it is better to stick to 20W40.A W 50 will be better but will make the bike to rev sluggishly.
Also choosing a smaller range ie.,20W40 10 W30 is better than choosing a wider range like 10 W40 because the Esters added for the value stability is more and it deteriorates faster with heat..just my thought

Gulf pride 4t plus is not synthetic, and it says on the pack that the oil will last for 10,000Kms . In our own interest we have to change the oil before it becomes bad..I think a 2 or 3 k change is ok.The HH oil in my bike (pre-owned) was black ...and I changed it as soon as I bought it...with Gulf pride 4T plus. I had done about 450 Kms and oil had not changed color or feel or level...The engine is running quieter,and smoother.I had also done the boron treatment and is working well for me.

Yeah,me too saw 10000kms on the site,I don't wish to keep my engine for that long,as you said ,not more than 2 or 3k.What about engine heat with gulf oil,i feel my engine very hot with HH Oem oil,is it normal?Could you please explain me what is that boron treatment?

Thinner oils have lesser heat dissipating capacity and so with HH oil of 10w30 engine will heat up.With gulf 20w40 in my engine now the engine is a lot more smoother and less heat.

i think changing grade is not a good idea. 10w40 grade is good for old ZMA
not for xtreme(low pickup, poor mileage, engine over heating-15% less lubrication)
Don,t change the grade to the one ending with higher value at the second part-after W

Motul 5100 15w50 - ss - ~450/-Vfm product will last for ~2.5 kms on a p180

Moto elf 4XT tech - 10w50 - ~675/-,can usr for 5k kms,but will need topping when ever required.

Does anyone know where Elf MOTO 4XT Tech oil is available in Bangalore? If yes, please provide the location and cost for it.

Don't know about 10W40,But 20W40 is good for cbz,many had used gulf pride plus 20W40 in their cbz without issues..

I had bought a pre-owned ZMA with 21,550 on odo. It came with stock HH oil which was changed only 1.5 K kms before and looked black.The bike used to get hot even at low RPM riding..I changed it to 20w40 and now even when I run the bike to high rpm it is not so hot...and the engine had become smoother,and less noisy..mileage continues to be 32 to 34 in city with slightly higher speeds,than before.After 450 Kms the oil still looks new and doesn't smell burnt.
So what were the problems you faced when you switched to thicker oil.?

Savita still makes & markets Kinetic 2S oil, which is good one. Else check out at Shell petrol station if they have something for 2S scooters?
