Re: Helmets
Another solution to this is to finding Helmet with built-in Sun Glasses... For e.g. I have Sparx Demontrix & THH Absolute both the helmets come with built-in Sun Glasses
Some of the new HJC model from CL17 & FG series have same features available...
Also one of the pricey solution is to have pin-lock ready visor with tinted / smoked lenses as per choice...

Re: Helmets
Hi everybody..Im planning to buy LS2 helmets by the end of this year.
My budget is 2.5k. Can I get any LS2 helmets(preferably LS2 Phobia) in this range? I really doubt so because I heard LS2 helmets starts from 4000/- rs.
Im planning to goto JC Road(Bangalore) Helmet Paradise shop opposite to Urvashi Theaters.
So before going it will be helpful if I get an idea about how much the starting range or exact price is so that I can bargain accordingly.
Please help & thanks in advance.---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Re: Helmets
I got it for 2700 rupees approx (with tax included) from Helmet Paradise. Megha Enterprises alse stocks LS2. Though the prices have hiked up, but I guess you can test your bargaining skills and stay close to your range. All the best.Originally posted by susheelkumar View PostHi everybody..Im planning to buy LS2 helmets by the end of this year.

Thanks for the info. Yesterday I went to 2 helmet shops in koramangala Inner ring road. The person said now the prices are hiked and starting range of LS2 is 4k.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostI got it for 2700 rupees approx (with tax included) from Helmet Paradise. From 2.7k to 4k is completely outrageous. Even one fo my friend bought for 2.5k some 2 years back.
Actually as time goes and availability of product increases I thought the value will decrease. Here its the opposite. Is that shopkeeper just bluffing?
When did you buy your helmet?
Anyone bought recently in 1~3 months gap?---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Re: Helmets
Well, I bought it almost a year ago. But then a colleague got it for 3100. He said he could have bargained for more, but he was with his wife and she was not comfortable in that shop with people staring at her.Originally posted by susheelkumar View PostWhen did you buy your helmet?

Prices are likely to have gone up and newer models have entered. Bargain for a good deal if you are interested in older models (esp. FF350)Originally posted by susheelkumar View PostAnyone bought recently in 1~3 months gap?
ooh! Point noted. Those areas, by default, don't look so female-friendly.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View Post

Re: Helmets
I guess it is time to renew my presence here on this forum. the other forum is too restrictive!
After getting my Iron 883, I was looking out for a Full face helmet for my long rides. I had got a HJC open faced one at the store for my short/city rides. Ended up choosing HJC CS 14 for the same. Boy! What a wrong choice of helmet! Fit and finish is fine. But wind noise - Unbearable! I just got back from a 800+ kms ride on the Harley and I almost went deaf!
Gosh! I did make an impulsive purchase here. Advise to the folks who are considering buying this - - STAY AWAY FROM THIS!!!
A couple of pics of the same.Last edited by Shubz; 12-24-2013, 01:51 PM.

Re: Helmets
hello brothers
, i have been a silent reader & have been following this thread for more than 3 month or so.
i have chose these two
LS2 Helmets
&
SOL HELMETS_PRODUCTS
As said earlier by one biker that this ls2 cost around 11.5k and the sol 5.7 [spg site]
my query is about vent & quality.
i live in Bhubaneswar and it is mostly humid expect this nov-feb period. how much those air intake work in practical. the ls2 has four intake where as the sol has 9 intake.
i do like the dual visor[sun visor] & anti uv in ls2. is it really worth to go for this ls2.
have gone through few brands like hjc, thh & spark but cannot find product with same specification [as in ls2] and same budget of 12k.
kindly give some view on this.Anupam

Re: Helmets
theoretically, carbon fibre is the better material choice here.looks cool too.no idea about availability of this ls2 model.vents are similar to lower end ls2 so you could get an idea from the thread.also i had read review of the cf ls2 either here or on that other forum.its there.just search.Originally posted by coolmaverickguy View Posthello brothers

sol does come with one year limited warranty, better customer support.u could look at the sf1 model for internal sun visor.i think more vents the better.my sparx can get humid easy.not felt when riding at all but once i take of the helmet my head is wet.humid down south here as well.๔ยкє ҭђгєє ภเภєҭұ เภ ๓ұ שєเภร

Re: Helmets
Suggest you try this dBSafe Reusable Earplugs- TWIN PAIR PK. NRR25 dB level. | eBayOriginally posted by Shubz View PostBoy! What a wrong choice of helmet! Fit and finish is fine. But wind noise - Unbearable! I just got back from a 800+ kms ride on the Harley and I almost went deaf!

Ear plugs are a must on any long ride as there is a constant wind noise. The engine noise becomes annoying after a while till you reduce the db. If you can cut out 25ish DB from the ambient sounds (as in the earplugs above), you will still be able to hear sounds etc, but the whistle of the wind and engine growl will be reduced considerably. It helps in traffic as well, I never ride without earplugs nowadays.

but the whistle of the wind was deafening.
So either I try this - at the cost of encountering some discomfort, or dispose this helmet off and go for better one's.
