SOL helmets are DOT certified and the ones imported into India by SPG even have their test certificates attached to the containers. These certificates are on display at the SPG office in Chennai. MT Helmets ECE R.22.05 test certificates are also on display there. I have seen, inspected and verified them personally. You can too on request.

Now i am thinking of ordering MT helmet online as it is 1k cheap plus it is same as SOL in terms of design but there is no sizing info of of MT helmets on spartan pro gear website. Anyone knows about the sizing of MT helmets ?

        Edit
Since M size is not available ( called pro gear and confirmed) so i will buy from shop tomorrow. Please tell me some genuine helmet dealers in Delhi.

If you are looking for MT helmets specifically, then, I am sorry to inform you that its not available at Meandering India. It is the only SPG dealer here in Delhi. They have a few SOL helmets and a couple of Daijiya helmets in stock, so you can check them out. Adventure 18 and Torqued Apparel also have genuine helmets. Redline store is the official PRS dealer in Delhi. For LS2 you can go to Mahalaxmi, Chopra or Paradise. Please note that you dont buy any branded helmets like Sparx, HJC, KBC, AGV from any of the helmet shops in Carol Bagh (including Mahalaxmi, Chopra and Paradise). Its not that they will intentionally sell you fake, but, the markets are so flooded with fakes, that even the shopkeepers don't know if a helmet is a replica or an original one.

I bought MT helmet recently (As my LS2 was getting old) and also 4 more of us bought MT as well.

First impression is it is not very different from LS2 design wise, has one vent near chin and two at the top but the helmet shape is much more aerodynamic.
But the amount of protection offered is more than LS2 I believe as it has both DOT and ECE certifications.

Since this helmet has chin cover at the bottom, very less air leaks inside and this is quite handy in dusty environments or in cold mornings.

Best part is the price as it is conveniently in between LS2 and SOL while offering similar protection levels as SOL (If I am not wrong). Paid 3950 + 500 (Tinted visor) in total.

The fit is very snug, have to get used to it. There was no M size, only L but they will provide tighter padding if you need. I found it extremely tight and hence opted for normal padding.

Here is pic of the helmet, there are lots of designs to choose from and it can be a bit confusing

@Sunnyside_up! I have two queries for you, why does googling MT Axxis result in Shox axxis helmets? Is it rebranded as MT for India? And also the visor is a direct fit from Cross helmets (which is a good thing as it costs 500/-) but why do they both have same design?

MT owns a sub-brand in Europe (UK specifically) called SHOX. Same product - same everything, made by MT.

Regarding the visor - I cant say for certain - but its is highly probable that the design is generic. It's very common for smaller companies to copy a design of another company rather than design their own to save development costs. Much like how the indicators of the TVS Jive (Rs.90/-) are a direct fit for the Kawasaki Ninja 250R (Rs.1800/-)

By the way CROSS visors are not different. Everywhere they are the same as of LS2 visors. Rather stores are selling LS2 visors for CROSS helmets. Have checked and found yes LS2 and CROSS helmet visors are same.
It is the same company which is designing in generic the helmet visors for all these and so it seems all are following the same design, atleast for visors.
By the it is 600/- bucks for these visors. damn.

Didnt know they were same as LS2 visors, at least my LS2 is different and it is not as easy as MT to remove visors (2 years old though).
You can get the same visors for 500/- in Megha

Brothers, I went to Sunshine Auto, Thane ( Mumbai) and saw KYT helmets. Starting price range is equivalent to LS2 and these KYT helmets are made in Indonesia. Does anybody have any inputs on these?

How do HJC helmets compare to similarly priced SOL helmets? SOL has not been available for a while and I'd like to look at other options in the sub Rs. 10k bracket. Please chip in with your suggestions, thanks.
