i have cotton ones with me

      • Helmet help/ suggestion

Guys, need your advice on one more helmet purchase. (Imma lil lazy to sift thru past threads)

        • Type- Full-face
        • Budget- 5k-8k INR
        • Bike- Pulsar 200 DTSi (Red)
        • Location-Mumbai

Am considering brands like KBC, Sparx, RJays NUVO, Daijya. Had zeroed-in on the Daijya regular one(~5k) but after trying them I wasn't particularly happy, especially with d weight. Hence, think I'll extend d budget and go for one a lighter, more comfy one.

Awaiting your guidance, informed bikers! Thanks.

P.S. Have seen many suggestions here for purchase from intnl sites and getting em shipped. But buyin without tryin defies logic to me.

Well you can go after Airoh Speed Fire . I m using that only. And this is my 1st helmet and
          +ve points
          1. Very Light weight(1350gm approx)
          2.Good front ventilation
3.4star sharp rating ECE (very cheap as compared to safety )
          -ve points
1.No breath deflector (not a problem when you are speeding or at constant speed but when you slow down then it becomes foggy inside . For this when you slow down make sure you open visor a bit. Works for me atleast )
2.Not much mad design as in kbc etc.

          • Flip up helmet within 2-3.5K

            Hello guys,

I am looking to buy a good helmet with max budget of 3K to compliment my Avenger 220 in bangalore. I was initially considering to get the Ninja 2G/3G, but I do not mind shelling extra money for a better lid . I am ready to extend my budget to 3.5K if I am getting a good helmet as well. I am considering a flip up type for now.I looked into one of LS2 model ( 358 i think ), but It retails for more than 4K. I would like to own a flip up style this time around as I already have a fully covered one and to be honest grown quite bored of it. Can you guys suggest me a helmet within my budget.

            Thank you

Not sure why you have zeroe'd in on daijya... it is not a known brand ... locally manufactured... try the Sol helmets india... VFM product... got the award from webbikeworld in 2008 for helmet of year... branded as Gmax in US...

              • Guys using LS2, how do you cope with fogged visors? Did a 650kms+ only night ride yesterday along the western ghats (~20 D Celcius) and one heavy breathe would fog up the visor even at triple digit speeds, needless to say about normal breathing at standstill. The breathe deflector has no use of such. So what should be done to avoid this? Will a baraclava or a scarf work?

                  im using ls2 crown
and i have no such issue unless i breathe heavily with mouth and it goes off within a second
but what is the use of the front breather and top vents ?
can any one say me ?
and if i close or open them also i feel no difference

Had shortlisted Daijya owing to its popularity. I believe many experienced riders use one including some from the xBhp team (I believe Sunny himself has the Daijya Carbon).
Incidentally I got to know about SOL only after visiting this thread. Didn't know the brand till y'day! Apparently, they're on the heavy side, weighing in excess of 1800 gms (d fancy LED with battery etc to be blamed)
Can any of you tell me where in Bombay could I find their complete range (atleast one from each with all sizes)

Things are not always what they seem to be. I would suggest you look at the SOL, KBC, Sparx ranges. Detailed analysis of each brand is present in this thread. 15 minutes of your time is all you need.

                              • Help-new helmet

Am searching for a new helmet.currently am using LS2 Red dragon.
Reason for change :i usually go for long rides.so i use helmets for long hours continously.so in LS2 only few airvents are there.so my head is sweating very much.i think because of this am loosing lot of hair . i use full face balaclava.for the rest perfomance LS2 is good.So am planning to take new helmet with lots of air vents. It must be better than LS2,and not that much costly.help me out.
