A helmet protect's your head, not your bike! The price of the bike is irrelevant.
How much do you value your head?

Very well put, I say the same thing when people question the need to buy a good helmet.
4 wheels move the body, 2 wheels move the soul.

      • This is what i use the GP1 its baggy starts to shake at 40 but i likethe shape and the color initially but beleive me when the helmet starts getting dirty the flat look that means the Matt finish starts comming off like any thing and it looks real ugly. i am going to get a sand paper today and get the thing painted after that.

We all know that the helmet will ultimately protect the head and hopefully the gray-matter inside it. But, there are good quality helmets available in, say, 4-6k range as well. All he (Leon) is saying is that instead of spending all the 11k in the lid, it would have been a world better if he would've spent say 6k on the lid and the rest 4-5k on an riding jacket or gloves or such other safety gear. That's all! Nothing to get so hyper about, mate.

@ajinkya: There (KBC) range starts from Rs.7500/-?? Hmmm..I need to increase my budget a bit, I guess.. Thanks for that information; appreciate it.

actually I had PMed a friend, chetanpulsar regarding the same. It seems this D rings are the international system of locking. Even I was frustrated. So I had asked his help as he has the same helmet model as mine. He gave me a very good link to a picture that describes clearly what to do. Here you go:

                    P.S:- It works.

                    • D rings are much safer and easier to adjust that the clips... once you get the hang of it, then its really simple...
