  • Looks like, I won't get any good options in Chandigarh. Will head to Delhi to buy Helmet. Please guide me to shops, where I can find good helmets. Budget is around 5k.

Does the DETACHABLE mean it can completely be taken apart, or we can just put it on top of the head like a sunglass??

They can be take apart the lower portion but the overall look might not pleasing.

Also we can just put it on top of the head.

I have a Studds Ninja (8 yr old now). the only problem with this helmet is that if you constantly move the lower portion up and down it results in scratches at the sides.

I do not know if this problem has been rectified in the new versions.

Is it based in Delhi? Not too keen for Daijya brand, other one is out of budget(starts at 11k).

Meandering India (Rajiv) has dealership for Daijya, Nolan & Sparx helmet. Any particular reason why not Daijya?

Didn't see Sparx listed on the Facebook link. Daijya:- Haven't read too many good things about it.When it comes to helmet, can't do trial and experiment.

Quite heavy to carry? I don't get the point; have you compared with LS2 or Vega? SOL's are noticeably lighter

Indeed they are very light, have used in on CBR600 (till 140kmph), much lighter than old LS2s

You mean SOL right? They're lighter than Daijya, LS2 or Studds; I'm very sure because I own SOL & have checked out the above 3 brands personally. But very strong through, otherwise I wouldn't be posting here now

                        • I am going to order SOL Helmet from Pune.
Spartan Gear charges 800Rs for shipping which is deal breaker for me, as I can get NUVO helmet in that locally.

Those who have ordered SOL helmets, what courier service have you used? What were the charges like?

Spartan ProGear charges Rs.800 for shipping because they use TNT Logistics which is insured. I'm sure you were offered the choice of courier if you wanted cheaper too.

The exchange policy allows you to send back a product for re-sizing, which will ship to you the second time at their cost. Purchases above Rs.10,000/- also ship for free.

Yeah, they said they can send from other courier service, but refrained from quoting any other specific courier service. They asked me to give details of courier company that I want to use and they'd ship it using that service.
Need suggestion for courier service that will be cheaper. :P
