Where do you got this in Kolkata bro and for how much ? Do reply please as I stopped my LS2 purchase due to budget concerns IF this one's is available in kolkata will definitely go for a green one (for my FZ) if my budget permits.

          SOL's are way costlier than LS2 .
While LS2 starts at 2.5k SOL starts at 5k i think.

Don't mean to offend you but thats NOT what you said bro.
Being a student from a middle class background I take tutions for pocket money (as most of like me may/must do) I am a little concerned with my budget, coz I don't want my father to meet all my demands.
I had a hobby of collecting/purchasing the products which I like not just for looks but which also serves me a purpose well. Currently I use a Vega Motocross which is still in almost new like condition even after 1.5 years but want a much better helmet after reading that how much better safety does this better products provide. I keep patience & don't act like "ANGOOR KHATTE HAIN".

Actually the trend of matching helmets colour to the colour of the bike is a little old-fashioned and passe. Contrast colours and themes seem to be the new trend abroad.

On my frequent trips abroad, I've noticed that solid colours are popular with the older and more seasoned riders, while funky graphics and colours are the rage with younger sports-bikers, with extreme contrasts and colour mismatches most noticeable on street bikes and the tracks.

No problem brother. It's all fine.
SOL will be more costly than LS2.
And when it comes to head gear, going for the best is advisable.

                      Cheers mate

SOL helmets are now available at BP Roadies shop in Shyambazar. Head down there and meet the owner Bunty, he will help you chose your helmet according to your budget.

This post is been made to help all the guys who are in dilemma of what import duties will be incurred when getting Helmets shipped from various websites abroad!

I specially made a point to go through the India Customs Tariff Duties Book to get this information just for my friends & buddies here

So the Duties for Helmets & related accessories are as follows:

                              Basic Duty: 10%
                              CESS: 0.7%
                              ACD (Additional Duties): 4%
                              CVD (Countervailing Duties): 12%
Hence the total duty chargeable is ~28.852%

Have made some comments on this in another thread - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...tml#post853561

Akshay is absolutely correct in theory. However, as many of us know, in India the rule is often the exception and chaos rules! Read the other post also and make your purchase decisions with a better prepared and tempered mind.
