I'd suggest you to refrain from going for VEGA it's really not a worthful helmet, except their high end ones, but still speculative if they manufacture those helmets. Look for Studds Scorpion or Rhyno.

Exactly, studds have some really good helmets. I've used their ninja 3g for 8-9 months, I did not like the shape though but other than that it was really good.
After a fall I changed helmet(good practice) and bought ls2 phobia, both ls2 and studds ninja 3g has almost same quality padding.

The Ninja more or less revolutionized what a quality helmet should look like in India, no wonder it garnered so many customers, including myself!

Vega is quite literally crap, the padding is the worse I've used. Looks wise, my FORMULA HP is uber-cool, but it just, isn't worth it. And now it's almost in the racks, dusty and mitey!

        Cheers!

The main reason for going for this lid is its price. I dunno how many of you have heard about this brand here, its very popular in Europe and mainly sold there as well. This is one of their most basic helmets, I didn't find any reason to go up the ladder, this ticked all my requirements.

What I like so far -
              1) Really good build quality, feels really nice.
              2) It fits amazingly well. The main reason i waited to go home is that most helmets in India are sold in L size, which doesnt fit me at all. I didnt want to order one online only to send it back if it didnt fit. And i ended up getting an S. hehe. There is no shaking of the helmet at any speed.
              3) Very comfortable, the padding is soft, has depressions for the ear and i can wear my specs also very comfortably.
              4) Paint quality is better than most other helmets i saw. Except Shoei maybe. But they also cost twice what this did.
              5) Quick release strap. Not sure of what you call it.

What I am just ok with (in other words, cons of the helmet) -
              1) Riding at around 80kmph, wind noise does start coming in. Not enough to get annoying, but enough to be noticed. But it doesnt increase any further, atleast not until 135kmph hehe.
              2) Only 2 vents, one on top, one in front. Which does make it a little hot inside. But i counter that by opening the visor by a notch.
              3) Has only 4 setting for the visor.

It is a DOT approved helmet, and iv grown rather fond of it. Oh, and the company gives you a 5 year warranty. Which i think is pretty cool.
Do let me know if anyone wants any other information.

              Cheers.

Great. So it's 5050. Regarding weight I reckon it should weight close to 1.5~KGS, might be even more or less.

The D- ring takes some getting used to but trust me, when you do, you will never be comfortable with any other mechanism again!

The nature of the D-ring is that it allows you to get a perfect tautness on the chin strap every time and locks securely, the reason that it is the method preferred on race-tracks.

                                Hye,

                                Thanks alot guys !
The helmet cost 90 OmaniRials, so that converts to almost 12.8k. I did manage to get a discount on it though. Most of the other brands i saw were upwards of 150 OMR. Good helmets no doubt, but this does all of it just as well.

Oh and i forgot to mention before, it has a pump for the pads also, but it fits me really well without using the pump.

                                Cheers.
