and also please suggest what helmet we can get, i need good and quality helmet which has more protection.. budget is 7k..

I am also thinking of asking a friend to pick up one from US. Could you tell me the exact details how your friend/relative got it. I mean across customs and did he/she had it as carry on or booked luggage. Did the custom officer ask any questions?

The helmet was carried in his checked in luggage. No questions asked.

Just to add what Niranjan has already said, you can carry a helmet in checked in luggage and pass through customs ... just to make sure and be safe, dont carry in the main box you get when you purchase the helmet, just get the helmet in helmet bag(helmet cloth cover) and put it in luggage... it should be smooth sailing after that..

Very easy. Drop in to B.P.Roadies in Shyambazar and meet Bunty bhaiya. Keeps stock of LS2 and SOL helmets. Your best bet is the SOL SF1 Acme helmet. Probably the best helmet in this range.

Guys I bought a new LS2 Spit (FF 351) from megha enterprises, Bangalore. Love the helmet, and I am yet to com across another person wearing this design. The fit is snug, and quality of materials top notch. The Visor sits tight and no unnecessary air leak.

I Paid 3050 for the helmet and a spare visor (Clear Visor). I think I could have bargained for another couple of hundred, but was just too tired

I don't think you can get AIROH in Chennai. But I would suggest you look for SOL Helmets.

There are lots of goods brands like LS2, SOL, Cross, etc. But being a budget buyer you are, I'd suggest you look for LS2 or Cross.

That's Vega Offroader, which I purchased about 3 days before I brought the bike home.. thankfully supermatching design with the LE White RED yamaha.
It has custom padding for greater comfort and snug fitting (since helmet size L was a bit loose on my cheeks).

Comes with a inbuilt shade glass that can be deployed manually.

Additionally, bought a clear visor (that can cover the full open area) for night driving during trips.


However, I am also looking for another additional helmet (to become my primary for highway driving) .. full face, size M, preferably with air pump.
Sadly, unable to find a good one here.

If you're looking for models with AIR PUMP, try Daijya or LS2, they offer air pump models.

Hey guys, I might finally get some time to visit JC Road during this visit of Bangalore. I'm looking to get a black LS2 Phobia. I heard you guys talking about air pump. Does LS2 Phobia have it?
Also, the dealers in Bangalore seem to rip off the customers. How much price should I expect the Phobia at?
