Where can i get a non tinted yet uv protected visor for it in chennai?
Or shall i get some normal visor from local shops?do they fit in all helmets?

Did you try Sri Velavan Motors? Where did you get your helmet from? Try sourcing it from the same person as you did, as there is a good chance of them stocking it.

      Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

        • Bought an ls2 phobia some months ago and I've been using it ever since.

All this talk about fake ls2s makes me nervous, I don't wanna die because I bought a premium* helmet, thinking it will protect my head better. :banghead:

Will save up and buy some other costlier(?)brands

Wind noise is a given in almost any helmet, the best one are engineered to reduce drag and sound, but not eradicate them completely. LS2, and SOL does whistle after 80 KMPH, personally checked them.

              1. Dirt helmets are completely different from street helmets, design wise
              2. In Dirt Racing, you don't speed as much, so considerably the helmet is thinner and lighter.

Thank you for the elaborate write up. Never thought this much about motocross helmet. I like these helmets and was even planning to buy one. I thought its the other way around

This is the only reason that kept the buying delayed.

Is it because of the wide open area in front??
One question, is the vega helmet a true motocross helmet or is it just the looks??
What I thought about vega is, they have just the look of a motocross helmet. Vega helmet has a visor even!!

Yes dirt and grime are attracted to helmet due to the open area. I never consider Vega Motocross a helmets, for the pun word.

Tell me, have you seen any dirt riders using a Vega? I bet you wouldn't have, at least not the ones I know.

Get yourself a good full face one as opposed to these.

                Cheers!

Their best helmet is NEXX that is sported on their website, 20k in my opinion, I've seen a black one, never worn, but looked really cool.

Why not 68SLS with LED, that's the helmet that's loved by many.

                          Cheers!

If you can source from the US, check out the Nolan N85. Web Bike World rated it as the best helmet under 250$ for 2012. Its available for ~200$ at Revzilla.

I never would recommend buying online personally just for peace of mind reasons, yes they ship it best, but customs, handling, and mishaps are a given. If anyone from abroad happen to drop here, it would definitely save lots in shipping and peace of mind is a given. But just my two cents.

                              Cheers!
