chkd some today at this shop in marthahalli...they have two shops, one was closed on account of christmas eve, so saw only a few.
GPOne: He had only one piece, this one is on the heavier side. cant comment on the fit as he didnt have my size. this piece was damaged, the cheek pads were connected to the body using velcro, the velcro that was connected to the body of the helmet had ripped off and you could see the brown glue there. have any gp1 users / any using removable inners faced this issue?
he quoted some 1.5k
MPA-AGV:
he had a few, but none my size so didnt bother to try, newez these didnt have removable liners
MPA sport:
nice helmets, good finish, good graphics. inner liners NOT removable. 1.4k
Steelbird Soft:
matt finish. had only one piece. good fit, decent quality, pretty good. didnt have colors and this one didnt have graphics.
Will go there during the weekend when both shops are open and the owner is around...
Will also look at stuff on JC Road. Heard of this place called Prime Helmets (Bombay motorcycles), saw their stuff in the exhibition at KTPO-whitefield. he mentioned that he had 10-12brands etc etc...will also visit some other shops there.
HTH,
Beo
PS: BTW sparx has this helmet called Rebel...has a pic of Che on the side. looks super sexy, but way outta my league....

GpOne was retailing for around Rs.2.5K when in market. Nowadays short of supply due to high influx of Malaysian and Chinese helmets with better graphics and finish for the same Gandhis.Originally posted by MavericK46 View PostAny idea how much the GP One was retailing for..?
2400/- if i decide on an MPA-AGV then...
I looked around for GpOnes on JC Road but could find only one old piece(red and silver) which wasn't my size. Quoted price Rs.1.5K(he wanted to dispose the old stock).
For your budget the available options are AGV Mpa, Gpr, AM, BHP. (Beware of cunning dealers with slick price quotes and check with fellow Xbhpians for true quotaion).
Its been 3 months since I've bought my GPR and I used to swear by its quality until I saw RealRedice's Daijya~!4 wheels move the body, 2 wheels move the soul.

@akshaye11, catch hold of a guy who does vehicle number plates. most of these guys have a plotter and colored stickers, they also have a database of graphics which you can choose from. they can get you some stickers pretty quick and cheap. can take your own image to them too...
there must be some more options which are refined and look nicer, but I dunno...maybe somebody else can help you out.
Guys,
I saw some Vega with nice graphics at shops near MTR in bangalore. are these helmets good, the quoted price was 1.4k, but he gave me some spot discount and some more for my battered wrangler, settled on 1050/- but he didnt have a fresh piece in stock.
btw, I cant locate the website for vega, india. any help?
the guys didnt have GPOne, they said it was discontinued etc. There was a steelbird soft-matt finish with removable inners for abt 1.2k, nice-but too dull...
some more MPA (not AGV), were nice, abt 1.6k. You can easily knock off 20-30% off the quoted price depending on your bargaining skills at all these places

As Beo said, you should head to a sticker shop. Ensure that you ask the reflective stickers. Does a great job in the dark.Originally posted by akshaye11 View Posthi frnzzzz i hav that ninja black helmet with black visor!!! i get bored see black can i add some graphic too it but how ??? and it should look sober tooo!!!/?? how/?All men dream, but not equally. I didn't know that they have such margins.
Does anybody have any idea of fair price of Vega Boolean(Size L) which I am planning to buy soon? Here in Bangalore, Lalbagh Road they quoted 1700/-. But I came to know that if we don't take proper cashmemo they can reduce a bit, I guess they same around 200 from the VAT in that case.

Today I called up Vega office and asked about the MRPs for Single color Boolean, Eclipse and Graphic Boolean. That's what they answered(rates are as I remember, I was more interested in Boolean Single Color):Originally posted by shabbarak View PostHey Guys, i got myself a (Graphic version VEGA Bolean ) from Bike Terminal, Hyderabad. had to spend around 2 hours there but at last got a piece of my liking .
