That's the NEXX and rated one of the lightest weight helmet in it's class by webbikeworld. I've seen Sunny wear them when I happen to meet him. Real excellent stuff.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

      • Ear plugs required.

I have been using a VEGA boolean for some time now, and i am really comfortable with it. The fit and the air flow also seems to be good, along with it's light weight that doesn't put strain on the neck.

However, it has too much wind noise whenever I do good Speeds. While on tours, that constant wind noise becomes very irritating.
I have tried LS and SOL helemest of my friend, but all those seems to be too big and too heavy over my shoulders.

I am happy with the VEGA, except that of the wind noise. So, I have now decided to go in with ear plugs during the tours.
Please help me with where can i get those in the market, and if constant wearing of it will cause any pain in the ear..

Any other alternative is Also welcome..

        • 3m ear plugs | eBay

Try these earplugs, these are from eBay for 250 bucks. Earplugs are basically to suppress the helmet noise and lots of other unwanted noises, if you work in a high decibel area, and no they won't cause ear fatigue as such. Constant wearing won't cause pain as such, but they can be a little itchy at times, but apart from that they are a really good suppressing stuff.

          Cheers!

The Nexx XR1R Carbon is THE lightest fully certified full face helmet in the world - not just in its class. Makes you feel that you're not wearing a helmet!

Comparing the Vega Boolean to an LS2 or SOL is comparing apples and oranges. The Vega is entry level stuff, while the others match international certification standards. If budget is not a factor, get smart and get a lid that means business and stop wimping about weight. The weight comes from shell thicknesses that are actually designed to take serious impact that may save your life. Which would you prefer - a proper certified helmet that weighs more or a plastic lid?

Not a promotion as much as a drive to promote hearing protection, which is grossly neglected due to lack of awareness.

I know that a LS2 or a SOL will any Day provide better protection than my VEGA.
But As i said i have tried wearing them, and due to their heavyness, i found a weird problem - I ride a 200NS, and when ever i was doing high speeds, (>70kmph) without crouching, the wind-blast was making my head shake!! ( and i guess it was more due to the weight of the lid, as it was a perfect fit on my head)
that shaking was causing disorientation, and I wasn't getting any confidence to pick up more speeds..

As i said WEIRD prob, which is not there when riding with the Boolean on.. (except the wind Noise)

                          • At last...

These are the images of my TiH helmet.

Front view: You can see the air vent at the mouth area. I've pulled down the inner visor too in this pic and hence the dark view.

Side View: You can see the hinge in this one. If you look closely you can see the spring at the hinge area. Push on the spring handle up wards to release the lid. You have to release the lid from both sides to remove the outer visor.

Top view: You can see the red pulley thing to pulling the inner visor up and down. In this pic this is at the front end and this means the inner visor is pulled down. You can also see the air vents at the top [Black part]. Look closely and you can see the hole plugs at released mode.

Inner visor and rubber mount at the mouth. This mount came off. I've fixed it there temporarily. have to look into permanent means.

                            Both visors up.

Back: You can see the reflectors at the back.

                            Inside.

Why not? Spartan sweet spot is their graphics, and they really appear catchy on anyone who rides with them. But that's only one part of the equation. Most people here have used LS2 and SOL, both are good helmets. Both helmets' grounds have been tested by users themselves. 4k for phobia is tad costlier, whereas some people here have got it for even 2.5 to 3k max.

Make a wise decision. Rather than going for graphics alone, check your fit also. Of course both requirements are imperative, but your prime concern should be fit, comfort.

In most helmets, the "rubber part or mount" you've mentioned is supposed to be removable. They can be removed and inserted back. They are meant to not fog your visors. It takes a few seconds to slot them back in and remove it. I myself remove it when the weather is sunny and put them back on winter. But nowadays I just don't care about all, be it any weather, they stay there.
