Re: My Helmets Fly !!!

Yesterday, I had my LS2 Phobia stolen from the biggest mall in BLR. Actually, bigger the building worse kind of people find their ways through!
As a result, I had to tow my bike on an auto as I was 12 kms away from home and I could not ride without a lid.

Anyways, I got SOL'd today.
Plenty of reviews on this forum already.

The Metal Man arrives.

I got 2 balaclavas and 1 set of ear plaugs from SPG with the helmet.
Total cost with VAT - 5.1k

Re: My Helmets Fly !!!

Hello everyone!!

Booked my KTM Duke 390 today, now looking for a helmet to go with it. Budget for the helmet is 8k. The problem is i live in Nagpur,Maharashtra and i dont know any stores that sell quality helmets. Would it be prudent to buy online can someone suggest some good websites?

Some recommendations would be nice. Also if i could get one that matches the paint scheme of the duke 390 would be nice. Oh and it will be a full face helmet. Thanks.

Thanks bro. Na, the balaclavas + plugs were complimentary.

If I am not wrong the store has over charged you. Sol metal man, retails at 4575 all inclusive. You can check with spg directly and then maybe talk to the store guys abt it

Even I was skeptical about that. I'd seen 4575 on the website, but then he added VAT on that amount. Now since I wasn't sure of this; I took it.

I picked it from Megha Enterprises, Lalbagh road. I got my LS2 from them and they charged VAT on it too. It was 2.7k (including VAT) for the LS2. Not sure if this is a malpractice.

Personally I always found megha a bit too commercial, and yes it does qualify as malpractice as they are definitely charging over the prescribed price.
I am not sure if they do this to recover the money they pay to spg as taxes or to just increase their commisions a little while giving the government its due

Hmm, so that means I'm picking up a new lid for the upcoming "big" bike from LGU, HSR Layout then! Does LGU stock AGV? Budget 15k.

I remember seeing only sol and some of the higher end stuff by HJC, but I think they could source AGV on request.
