Not sure if the likes of Cross, LS2 etc. would fit in without a scratch. That leaves you with unworthy choices like the roadside Kimi, West. GP1 You can try the Fast track ones maybe. They are now available with all Fast Track stores. BTW, you can carry along your helmet, 'just a matter of choice; 'just sayin'.

      I bought LS2 FF351 helmet & alpinestar balaclava together for 3600/-.
Actually they quoted 3800/- for helmet & 200/- for balaclava.
That was my New Year purchase.

Studds is good - but don't go for the modular one.
The Studds Scorpion is the best VFM at the ~2K price range.

I have a budget of around 8k. Suggestions (with specific models) please?

Also, I wear glasses, not sure how I can manage glasses and a snug-fit lid. Any advice for this particular issue?

Plenty of suggestions for various models on these pages, kindly read the thread or search, I'm sure you'll find your answer.

Wear glasses with thick plastic stems and you will be able to push in the glasses into the helmet without risking them breaking.
Another alternative is to compress (sew in) just the part around the temple (about a cm or so) so that the fit of the helmet is kept snug, while at the same time, leaving a very slight gap for the glasses stems to enter easily and not bother you during a long ride.

Not much useful user feedback on the same is available on net.
Motocross and full face are completely all different helmets with the exception of the so called Dual Sport, these helmets are more or less full faced with the vision abilities that a motocross helmets that's the only advantage practically from Dual Sport helmets. Usually MX helmets have large visor to let in more air and aid in good vision, street have full face protection, and smaller visor for improved aerodynamics, offering good vision too.

So DS helmet is okay if you're offroading, say Ladakh or hard hit roads, where the speeds are less, and offers good field of vision and adequate protection. Munching the taramac at a good clip? Get yourself a proper full face helmet.

My budget is upto 3.5k, I am looking for helemt which reduces wind noise, comfortable to wear and offer less drag as my current lid starts pulling my head back whenever I cross 80kmph. I remember someone bought "Vega Axon" and it is dot approved. How does it fares wrt noise reduction and comfort.

All helmets "WILL" have some noise component to it, it's impossible to completley eradicate noise when air flows on something and especially the flow over component is flowing against it. VEGA AXOR is as good helmet, DoT approved and so does Cross.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                          THE END

Not sure of the exact price but if FF350 is available, it will be quoted for 3000/- plus. Flip back a page and you will see a post by Mr Susheel Kumar; he got a FF351 for 3600/- INR along with a balaclava.

get a proper full face helmet with snug fit for better protection. With this "motorcross" helmet chances are you might get hurt when the front portion which is very weak snaps on impact., very small impact that is.

                                Cheers
