Oh! Got it. So which one should I look for? Any suggestion? Can you comment regarding its comparison with ninja 2g. As I have only used this so far, so it would be easy for me to relate.

Looks good though
Well indeed, it looks really nice. Whats the name of the lid ?
Wonder how does it fair regarding the wind noise!

LS2 FF350?

Or, why not try the Studds Helmet mentioned by nadz11.ns and give us review as well. :P

I have no idea about ls2. Would it offer better noise reduction compared to vega axor?

Regarding these studds. By looking at the pics, I have feeling that they are redesigned/remodeled scorpion.

Hello fellow riders,

I was away for a long time from this thread(posting any helpful to be specific) but have been reading every post here. Some pages back, I read that S M Studios in Mulund, Mumbai has SOL helmets available. Based on that, I was there yesterday evening and was looking for the Metal Man. But the shop doesn't keep SOL helmets anymore because they are finding it hard to find spares to these helmets. Just an FYI if anyone was looking for SOL helmets anywhere near Mulund and had shortlisted this place.

They have a limited choices of LS2 helmets and priced at Rs. 2950/-. Are these real? I mean I asked another helmet in Mulund (Only Helmets) for LS2s they were quoting 3.2 k. I did check for ECER stickers and they are present and they did look genuine. However any review about this place would be appreciated.

I had a couple of queries:
1) Can someone please give me review of Raunak Enterprises at Vashi. Browsed and know they are Authorised Resellers of SOL helmets. Just wanted to know how is their service, availability of spares at their end for these helmet, etc and price difference compared to SPG?
2) Any place near Thane/Mulund where I can find some genuine SOL helmets?

Thanks in advance. Peace.

From experience i can tell this. What seems cheaper may not be fake. LS2 are available rite from 2.5-2.8k and just by wearing and examining the product, you can deduce if it's real or not. For rest of your query, others can answer

I don't think they are really worth the buck. Even still Fastrack is a lifestyle brand in India, I think it can still scoop a hefty sum for the average joe. But the informed ones wouldn't make an impulse purchase just based on looks. But Fastrack knows this theme very well, especially in India, we like anything that's shiny, lustrous and catches our eye. But I'd suggest you to look for helmets that have been in the market.

I've had the Ninja 2G it lasted well over two years and it was an excellent helmet to this day, when it comes to pure practicality. And the shell is quite hard enough compared to most full faces out there. But comparing a modular with a full face isn't gonna help much, both have their own pros and cons it's upto ones own discretion to choose which one.

You're right, and wrong You're right, LS2 ranges start from the prices you've mentioned, but you're wrong that just by wearing them one can find out it's a genuine or a knock off. Many helmets these days are even better than genuine ones, and the KO manufacturers have gotten well versed, on how a consumer buys, so he makes the outer as perfect he can to make it look very good, it's very hard even for a trained eye to spot the difference. But it starts to show up only as days progess. But most LS2 helmets these days are very good for the MRP they're retailed at, be it fake or genuine, they do their work well to an extent.

Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

SM Studios is NOT an authorised SOL reseller and the company has taken steps to dry up supply to him through various sources, so naturally he would come up with stories about spares, etc., Most dealers do not stock spares, especially those in Mumbai, preferring to refer issues directly to the company, since the company maintains stocks of spares anyway. Send a mail to [email protected] for any spares you may need.

Thank you sir for the info. Ill surely contact to SPG to get the doubts cleared.

However, I saw that Raunak Enterprises in Vashi, Navi Mumbai is a authoriser reseller for SPG? Has someone bought from this place? Any reviews/suggestions about this place?

Folks - Could you recommend a good shop to get helmets in/around Mount Road, Chennai? My budget is around 2K. I am just looking for a good helmet for city driving conditions.

Look no further than Vega or Studds, very affordable quality Helmets for daily use.

If 2k is your final budget and can't extend anymore then go for Axor, it's a good choice. . . If you can extend your budget at least by another 500-700rs, LS2 seems a good buy. . .

Scorpion from Studds is a better buy than the Axor series. Priced almost the same.

I placed an order for an SOL SF1 helmet about 2 weeks ago and received a message that "Someone would get back to me shortly". Well, someone never got back so I placed another order today and called your helpline to follow up, only to be told that the helmet I ordered isn't in stock and is not expected until February-end.

I would have hoped for a better experience.

Cheers.
