Re: Helmets
From the lids I've used, SOL, MT all whistle above 80 KMS and SOL pretty much worsens post the 95 KMPH barrier. MT when you crouch shields the wind noise real good, but still pretty much buzzing in your ears enough to irate one. But all in these are budged oriented helmets and provide excellent VFM, I'd suggest you to lean towards MT and Kyt.Originally posted by eliksir View PostThanks. Will check them out at one of the outlets in bangalore. Any idea about the wind noise ? Pretty sure they wouldn't let me test that
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Re: Helmets
stretch the budget and get the MT revenge IMO. Been using one for a month or so. 1450 gms, great looking, DOT and ECE. Costs 5150 + 500 for iridium visors from Megha (opp MTR near lalbagh).Originally posted by eliksir View PostGuys, need your suggestions/recommendations for a new lid. My LS2 dream is over 3.5 years old now and I'm bored of it. Plus it's full of scratches and the inner sponge linings have started to come off. Probably better to change the helmet rather than replace the sponges.
Budget is 4k. Can stretch by another 1k if the helmet is THAT good. (please don't start bashing about compromising safety. Budget is tight and will have to compromise something big for that extra 1k
)
Bike is an FZ midnight black (black with golden alloys and stickers). So would prefer something black, but not plain black.
Shouldn't let in wind noise at least up to triple digit speeds.
full faced and ventilated
Tinted/Mercury visor preferred over clear. If it accommodate 2 visors or can be interchanged easily, that'd be great.
Please, no LS2.
As light as possible. The current one I use is 1.5kgs and though my neck muscles have gotten stronger due to it, it gets nasty on long rides.
Put up in bangalore. Do suggest some stores where I can try them out and determine the right size.
Did very little homework and all I could find was the MT AXXIS.
Also, suggest you you to setup the NFC functionality and remove the breath deflector as it reduces vision and also deflects the breath into the visor instead.
