Brought the shifter for 1950 from Wellington Kolkata. Excellent build quality under 2k range, real or may I say genuine air intake ports on the hood which can be opened and closed, at 60+ kmph with intake port open, it sounds like an aircraft take off, close it and ur good til 80 kmph. Need the mirror visor but due to unavailability couldn't buy it.

Re: Helmets
Mt , build quality is top notch, u need to feel it to believe it, paint, padding, double d straps all are good quality. The air vents click rather than just slide.Originally posted by vivek7593 View PostTime to upgrade my ls2
Thinking about mt blade or sol unicorn or metal
Which will be better mt or sol?
Slightly inclined to mt because of positive reviews..4 wheels move your body, 2 wheels move your soul .

Re: Helmets
Hi All,
Thank you for all the suggestions and explanations .
I had came down to final two SOL S5 and MT Blade. I was fitting an XL on SOL , costing about 6300. It had 18 vents
Fitted better than MT but made in China / Taiwan no sharp rating and very flickery air vent caps made me stick with MT Blade. Size L
Costed 5975 fit is snug .
The inner visor does not seem to have a top lock position in MT, causes a bit of discomfort if you agree to something rigorously
I'll add more reviews as I keep on using it.
I am planning to get an AGV K3 SV too , only for long rides
Sorry for bad images, I have been told I have pathetic photography skills

Re: Helmets
My firend got one Gloss Black with green graphics. It looks good and quite good padding. But the L size for me was still loose, it was so light that it kept coming forward when the helmet cam was fixed near the chin area. The helmet looks good on paper but the fitting was something that bothered meOriginally posted by sambit View PostAny Idea on this Steelbird Air helmets(For City/everyday uses only). Re: Helmets
Bangalore roads are equally dangerous and known for killing,
dont let your chance of survival be at home while you ride with a cheaper helmet.

Re: Helmets
My best friend and his girlfriend (nagging one) passed away on 29feb in an accident. My friend had helmet but he didn't wore it to speak with her GF. Both fell in road because of loose gravel (thanks to our govt for not having strict laws on spillage from trucks)
Both of their heads were crushed by an truck with centipede like tyres (50+tyres) [emoji22]
Am not sure if helmet protects his head in such cases. Because I have never heard of helmet withstanding a truck load. Especially an heavy truck like this.
But I have a feeling that if he wore helmet his head would be sliding away from tyre if he wore a helmet because of round and Niger section of helmet.
So if you have a nagging girlfriend do a wheelie and push her down in home as soon as she sits on bike instead of dragging both to death.

Re: Helmets
Thanks for the info. I wear Spectacle, hence looking for a normal ISI one for city use, as putting on & taking off the MT regularly is a pain. PS- Even the MT is L size, but its damn tight.Originally posted by prateek2210 View PostMy firend got one Gloss Black with green graphics. It looks good and quite good padding. . Like Motomonster said, it was just fate. Sometimes you just can't explain life, its beginning and its end. We have just have to accept whatever it is.

Helmets
I have a feeling that if he wore helmet his head would have slide away from tyres because it's bigger Dia & sturdiness unlike smaller head which is not hard.Originally posted by Motomonster View PostThat's too bad.my prayers with deceased.i don't think any helmet would have saved them ,it is just fate.
May be. Things I say to myself to console me.
