      Hi guys
Hope you all are doing good. Just watched a video about fake riding gears. It's disturbing to watch how safety of riders are compromised for few extra bucks. Reminded me of recent incident of broken MT helmet. I have a RJs riding jacket which is also made in pakistan . This video is from UK. If UK market is full of fake gears inspite of stringent laws am sure situation here in India is worse.

Most of the leather and a big heap of riding gears are actually from Pakistan, doesnt mean that they are fake.

Still chances are that many of them are fake. even in India we are buying and making replicas of almost every big and international brand. Here in Mumbai at dharavi jackets and leather goods are manufactured for many big brands and it is where most of first copies are also made. We have seen fake milk, khoya, rice and what not... Almost every thing from Sun glasses to mobile phones. Probability of duplicacy is more here... But when it comes to riding gear Question of safety is more important for us...

Bought studds shifter D6(mat black and orange) from Chopra karol bagh for 1750/-.

PS: Dealers haven't got DOT certified one yet.

What is your size? Shifter is only available in L size. I can't find M size anywhere...

Yes it's available in L size only. It was perfect fit for me.

M and L are just 1cm different in size in Studds Helmets. L size is a good fit for most people. Cheers !

No worries at all since the same shell is used in them all. You can even press the shell and try comparing with LS2 or MT Mugello, all same. I posted the Dot certified Shifter's pic and it would cost you around 4300-5100 the dealer quoted me. But there is no official release information yet. LS2 and Mugello cost a lot since they are imported, have to take care of dealer margins and stuff, while Studds/SMK are made in India and so cost less. Only Shifter and Scorpion are top notch though, others are just meh ! Cheers !

                  • LS2 online purchase

Recently I have been going through all the good helmets online. And I have came across with LS2 rookie on Amazon, paytm and snapdeal. Can anybody help me whether this one is original or not?

Hi, thanks. But L size is not a snug fit for me. Helmet moves sideways and back and forth while straps are tightened. I have one MT helmet but I want one for short city rides where I ride max between 50-55 kmph.

90% of LS2 helmets sold here are fakes. Looking at the discount, it seems fake.

I own a LS2 which i just bought last month paying 6500, and never recommends it. If you are spending 10k, hand down go for HJC or even better get a Bell Qualifier in that range. Look at this link, there are lots of HJCs and Bell Qualifier in the range.

I have bought jacket from Let's Gear Up and I am impressed with their service. Are they the authorised dealers for hjc/bell? What about warranty? I liked hjc but again I am confused with the model. The use would be mainly everyday riding and occasional weekend rides.

I guess they are authorized dealers, have bought a few things from them and have not faced any problems as such, and they would be giving the usual brand warranty also.
