Re: Helmets
Looking for a Modular/Flip Helmet within 5-7K in Delhi.
I know that Modular's are relatively less safer compared to full face but i am a specy(what to do
). Pretty sure that i need modular/flip type only.
Desperately need suggestions. Most modular ones that i see are on the higher side of the price range.

Re: Helmets
I used to wear spects before (switched to contacts now) yet I used the MT Blade (Full face) without any issues. Just go into any authorized dealer (dont' get it online unless you try it out physically first) and take your time with getting a good full face one which allows you to use your spects. I too remember reading that modular ones are not safe compared to full face...so why compromise.Originally posted by Kushal_Arora View PostLooking for a Modular/Flip Helmet within 5-7K in Delhi.

Re: Helmets
Yeah i agree man. But, the whole process of putting on a fullface helmet for specys is so damn annoying...Originally posted by Dovahkiin View PostI used to wear spects before (switched to contacts now) yet I used the MT Blade (Full face) without any issues. Re: Helmets
Hi, i also wear specs. I checked these modulars from studds before buying my mt mugello. I was not able to remove modular helmet with specs on. As per my experience puting it on and taking off consumes same time as that of a regular full face. Better go for a good full face one brother.Originally posted by Kushal_Arora View PostYeah i agree man. But, the whole process of putting on a fullface helmet for specys is so damn annoying...

That is some serious insight. I would definitely give full face a shot now.
Thing is i have been using a boolean vega for 10 yrs now and have been super happy with it. So convinient, that i thought all modulars must be like that...
Your insight is super helpful. Going to karol bagh market this saturday.
Thanks again....

Re: Helmets
Hi. If you wanna cut down on your budget then Vega crux is good. And if you want in between 5-7, try ls2 ff386 ( I am using this currently). Quite happy with the product.Originally posted by Kushal_Arora View PostLooking for a Modular/Flip Helmet within 5-7K in Delhi.

Re: Helmets
Vega helmets are a big no IMHO. The shell is rather too weak, weaker than even Gliders helmets. Go with Studds or Steelbird in this range.Originally posted by Ave2592 View PostHi. Yeah, actually LS2 is the only 1 avaialble in the range and I considered that 1st. But I heard that the flip becomes loose over time and even keeps falling down while going over potholes and breakers. Is it true ?

Thanks for your inputs. I have been using a Boolean Vega for 10 yrs. Honestly, if you ask me, pretty happy with the product.
But now since i am upgrading to a bigger Machine, I would definitely go with a more reliable brand like LS2,MT,SOL,THH,HRO etc.

Re: Helmets
No. I am quite a smoker of a kind. I smoke sometimes when u ride if I am delayed and I need to smoke too. And so, I just flip up and smoke. The flip is perfectly grippy. Has not even for a slight moment did it fall. IMHO this is perfect.Originally posted by Kushal_Arora View PostHi thanks !

Re: Helmets
I won't comment on the smoking part but you prefer risking your jaw on just a hinge of the helmet?Originally posted by Ave2592 View PostNo. I am quite a smoker of a kind.
