Re: Helmets
If you can stretch your budget and get the MT revenge, then go for it! That is the best protection for your head you can have under the 10k mark. I would definitely recommend it. 5 star rated by sharp, now that's peace of mind if you ask me.Originally posted by appushri View PostThanks.. how is MT revenge. Regarding THH, there are a lot of fakes in the market and it doesn't stand a chance against the Revenge.
Only con of the Revenge is the narrow vision which few have reported. So give it a try at a store and see how it works out for you.
Cheers and regards,

Re: Helmets
Hi guys, need to replace my old RJAY's helmet which I had purchased from Bachoo motors years ago.
Can anyone recommend a good shop with a wide selection of helmets to choose from in Mumbai? Town side would be ideal.
Prefer to switch back to AGV's though availability isn't exactly great from what I know when a friend was looking for one a while back.
Any of the Bombay based bikers can please suggest some shops would be awesome!

Re: MT helmets ISI mark and Size.
I've been in Maharashtra, and i think traffic police there have no control whatsoever on local people. They never follow traffic rules, and if you see people wearing helmets then most probably they are from other state. They keep mooching of the people from other state mostly asking for NOC. This is just an observation in 6 months. I may not be true.Originally posted by 0xxsapxx0 View PostU been living under a rock
But Thats all right for now ,
Isi is the minimum standard required to ride in india , dot or ece exceeds ISI.
You head side is 57 so a Medium will be the right size for you.
L is 58-59
Xl is 60
Plz wear the correct size, even if it suffocating for the very first time and few days. Otherwise a helmet is of no use if you crash with an oversized comfortable helmet.
Now as i am actually from Delhi. One thing i can guarantee most of them are iletrate, the only bike the know is splendor and pulsar, forget about dot etc. But they will not stop you if you are wearing helmet.
Now I've ordered mt blade M size.

Lamination as in the one few years back people use to do on mobile phones ?
If yes! That can be bought from any local mobile shop or sticker shop. Doing that is a easy DIY or the shop guy will do.
You can buy water proof covers for handlebar buttons, tank and meter from shop that whole mumbai uses. [emoji23]
Also, what kind of protection are you talking about? They are already sealed.
Well, you might see some fog inside meter but that can is normal for meter, indicators and headlights considering Mumbai level of rain.
Also, if your bike is in warranty you can go to Svc and raise this as a topic too. [emoji1598]First I was Scared But then We Made a Deal

I've lived in Mumbai for 3 long years and 40k km with a Black colour Pulsar220 which had UP14 registration. [emoji23]
If I'll tell you all the horror stories, you'll quickly buy a new MH registered bike.
Basically, the way to avoid those money fetching cops is to stay away from Link road and other traffic area. Travel using Eastern and Western highways. They are not on highways.
Don't park your bike in a tow away zone. Once its towed, they will ask for NOC!
Other clever ways I can tell you. PM me if interested.
I once lost my bike documents (all of them) and traveled for 4 months covering so many places on weekend rides and monsoon rides all over MH, GJ, Daman. But caught twice only in Mumbai. [emoji23]
Do you have any Marathi speaking friend?
Keep him ready on speed dial.
Mumbai cops hate our language, even though we speak fluent and grammatically correct Hindi. [emoji23]
A marathi speaking person can even get you out for just 50₹ or free.
But it was fun. God what I haven't done in all those years [emoji23]First I was Scared But then We Made a Deal

Re: Helmets
Yes I was talking about same mobile lamination kinda jugad. Normally I have seen ppl using that jugad to get TFT console protected from accomulation water droplets inside console which can only be fixed by taking bike to SVC which consume extra time and effort. I was thinking to avoid such situation and use same jugad. Yes, it is a simple Mechanism which can be easily fixed provided I have the proper tools like blower and plastic film. Since I don't have them, I was hoping if someone has got this done from any shop or somewhere where they can do it with some perfection.Originally posted by Sird View PostTFT lamination?
