Finally ended up buying MT Thunder3.

My head size is 59cm, but oddly I had to get the XL (61-62cm). L was too tight.

It was the only helmet which fit me correctly. To avoid the HJC scenario, I wore it for nearly 1.5 hours in the store.

A good purchase. Do pick a Pinlock 70 shield for this and complete the purchase

Planning to upgrade my current MT Mugello helmet. Friend is coming from the US in the first week of November so have to decide quick.

Was considering the Scorpion EXO R420 (SNELL certified) or the AGV K3 SV. Any other recommendations around that price point?

There are some good closeout deals on the previous Scorpion EXO R410 also..

Want something with provision for bluetooth speaker pockets and good sound isolation. Preferably not a tuck down one.

R420 is really a nice lid from Scorpion.
I was looking to import one too, but my friend will be coming back next year so dropped the import plan.
Ended up ordering Scorpion Exo 710 Air, a good lightweight fibreglass composite shell, speakers cutouts, anti-fog, pinlock max vision ready visor with insert included.
In India we get European models of Scorpion.
If you are going down USA import route do check out closeout deals on Exo R710.

Any idea on how low does the 710 go for?
            I'm getting a R410 for as low as $75

Anyone using a HJC CL-17 or FG - 17? Wanted to ask if there is any space in the helmet for putting bluetooth intercom speakers?

See if you can go for HJC IS-17. Amazing ventilated helmet and also sharp rated (if I am not wrong). Should cost you anywhere staring from 15k I guess.

Yes FG 17 have intercom speaker pockets.

I was looking for some light mode for my helmet and came across this site by sheer chance.

I had seen the original light mode site where the same design is available for $129 plus shipping charges from Canada. In Lifestore it cost me just $ 34.99 including shipping. The price has again dropped ny $10 when I checked it last night. The design is the exact same, probably these guys supply them ! !

There was one difference though. When I ordered it , the site said the battery pack / control unit was rechargeable and it comes with adhesive in the back. I got a regular control unit where I have to put 2 AA battery and it came with a clip. So now I have to figure out to fix it to the helmet. The LED strip and the control unit is supposed to be waterproof which I will have to test in the rain.

The control unit has a button which cycles through - Constant glow, slow blink, fast blink and off.

The item came after 26 days after ordering ( tracking is available) . I will mount it today or tomorrow and put a video.

                            No sorry.

                            Little confusion here.

FG-17 dont come with speaker pockets but it is SNELL ECE rated.

FG-ST comes with speaker pockets and sun visor but comes with DOT ECE rating.

Both are equally priced. And have same shell design.

Is there anyone using the SMK stellar helmet? How does it perform on highways in terms of comfort, noise reduction, ventilation etc.

Comfortable fit.good liners.ventillation is not that good(when compared with hjc cl-17)in terms of noise reduction, both of these are almost same(loud).stellar does have a slight edge due to chin curtain.stellar is stable at high speeds too.
