Though for 1.1k you could have got a decent studds helmet too.
Ride safe. More than the helmet, its your riding intelligence which will matter
Thanks guys, for your opinions, i should have gone through this thread before i purchased. In future will keep this in mind.Originally posted by RanjithMN View PostYou dont have to apologize, but like MIK said, for 1.1K you could have bought a better helmet...STUDDS was an option.

. You are correct that such things doesnot provide required protection. But, it is better having something than having nothing.
Sorry guys, i think i have insulted the respective XBHP community and voided safety rules by purchasing that, But please try to understand i am going through some serious Financial problems.
dude don't be so apologitic.......u have done a right thing by
gifting yourself a helmet ..... no need to prove point to anyone....
all the best....even your helmet will provide sufficent protection....all the best.....Keep your bike in good repair: motorcycle boots are not comfortable for walking.

@abhichotu.abhi: I agree with what others are expressing. And I do agree that something is better than nothing. BTW I don't think your is any worse than other ISI branded ones. I have seen plenty of ISI branded helmets that are so pathetic in quality and find it unbelievable that they are actually certified. I have never comes across a test being conducted on any ISI helmets.

Hi guys, i am in need of a good helmet as my old one is falling apart (almost). The ninja that I am buying will need to be complimented by a good looking and similar in terms of functionality and safety.
My budget is max 3-4k. Which helmet do you guys suggest that has removable linings and where can i get them in blore? AGV costs 7k and is way off my budget.
thanks in advance for the replies guys.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

Hi Guys,
I picked the LS2 @ 3k two weeks ago.. was stuck with office work..
Must say its a damn sexy lid.. very comfortable and safe too.
But surely I need to pick a clear visor as I get late from office everyday and its a little difficult riding in the dark with the one that I presently have (mercury)
@n_aditya - You can go for the LS2 one.. pics were uploaded by fellow xbhpians some 5-6 pages prior..
Cam out of charge else would've posted pics now itself...

@ganesh--next time you go helmet shopping, please ensure you buy a helmet which has a visor and you may also ensure, it is a proper street type, not MX type*(which you currently have)
*used by riders who ride MX motorcycles on dirt-tracks and they have goggles to save their eye from foreign particles

Guys I'm about to buy a new lid within a week & I have been to lots of shops in mumbai & tried a few lids. Generally I'm looking forward to go for AGV( approx quoted price range 2000-3000 ), Cross ( 3000 +) or LS2 (2800+)
Few of my friends have suggested for Vega & I like it too but since I could stretch my budget upto 3 k, i'm looking for a sturdier branded helmet.
My only doubt is that are there any chances of getting a duplicate AGV, Cross, LS2 branded helmets since the places where I inquired for the helmets are small dealers so I doubt on the originality of their helmets. I have considered the option of buying the helmet from a reputed store but there is a considerable difference in the prices of similar branded helmets & models so I am more keen towards smaller retailers since the quality of their helmets seems to be at par with the professional reputed dealers. So is there any way to make sure if the AVG, Cross or LS2 helmet i'm buying is a genuine one & not a copy of the original brands?? I mean any manufacturer booklet provided, or any holograms, logo etc
What accessories are surely expected with the AGV, Cross or LS2 helmets (extra visor, helmet bag, skull cap etc)
Lastly, what about warranty?? Few of the dealers have bargained to lower the prce by as much as 400-500 if I'm not asking for a invoice from them. This would definitely mean no warranty. I'm not in favour of buying without bill but would like to know what the warranty may cover apart from the visor & helmet strap.
Thanks,
Regards.
Mitesh
