  • I think that would depend on the shell composition , i have read somewhere that the regular spray paint we use could react with the resin in the helmet shell and probably de-grade it ... if the helmet shell has plastic (highly unlikely , except for the cheap quality ones ) then aerosol on that is a definite NO ... aerosol has certain chemicals that can react ... try aerosol on thermocol for example ...

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

        • Need Helmet buying Advice

Its time I changed my AGV. Looking for a different Brand.

Budget is around Rs 4000 but can be extended for a quality helmet.

I saw these helmets at Chopra:

          1. Vega Shadow - Rs 3850
          2. RST - Rs 3,500
          3. Beon - Rs 3500
          4. Stud Scorpion - Rs 3800
          5. Cross -did not see them at Chopra's. How much would it cost?

Need feedback on these helmets if anyone is using them.

                    • Helmets in Coimbatore

                      Hi all,
I needed a helmet badly and went to a store in Coimbatore. They had 3 yellow MPA AGV's for 2.6k.
he also showed me a special AGV catalogue. I was shocked seeing all of them available "on order".
Just felt like sharing this info.

I have narrowed down on the LS2 Dragon-White & Red
                      Please suggest
                      1. Is it cheaper in Chennai or Bangalore
                      2. Whats the best price I can give in these 2 cities.
                      3. Which is lighter in weight Cross/LS2 ??
                      4. Is the inner padding of LS2 removable/washable?
                      5. I keep hearing about this D-ring thing a lot nowadays. Whats that pls ?
Never Argue with an Idiot !!!

The AGV catalogue is present in AQ, Cochin as well. There are some really great designs in that. Especially the Rossi replicas. Prices are sky high though !

I guess the LS2 is going for 2.4 in Bangalore. I think Vidya picked it up (black though) for that price. You will have to go back a few pages for the actual price. The D ring is used instead of the slide in & click mechanism that is omnipresent in Indian helmets. Takes a little more time to strap on / off but the helmet will be much more secure this way.

The LS2 dragon comes at around 3k in bangalore , 2.8k if u can bargain well ... i think the price difference in bangalore n chennai is a couple hundred bucks to the max in favor of chennai ...

                          • Hi everyone,

I'm on the verge of upgrading my helmet this month and am looking for ones with a anti scratch visor. Other requirements would be Weight, Comfort fit and Howling . What is the price range I can expect?

I was planning for CROSS, LS2 or AGV, but doubt if they offer antiscratch visors. My budget for now would be around 3k.

                            Thanks!
                            Ragav

P.S. I've read that it is reccomended to change the helmet once a year. Is it true for Helmets like Shoei and Arai??

Guys! Its monsoon time, & its a bit risky riding in the rains with water on the visor.
Was wondering if there is some water-repellant treatment available for the visor, coz when it rains water droplets stick on to it, rendering vision difficult. Any suggestions?

PS: I'm using a Vega Formula HP, with the stock, transparent anti-scratch visor.
