  • Hi Guys, few quick queries....
Which one is better, Matt finish or the regular shiny finish?
    >I mean in terms of maintenance and longevity
    >how do we maintain the one with Matt finish

Also Need opinions on Cross helmets
Cost of the flip type or Modular type Cross helmet in your place.
Here in Chennai it is quoted for 2800~3000 Rs. Is this reasonable?

    Cheers
    Safe riding.

    • ^ Matt finish is easier to maintain than Gloss finish. It picks up less of scratches too, but little more of dust. Just wipe it once a week with a moist cloth!
When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)

I had the same concern too but after seeing it in flesh, didn't seem like that and don't think so will have some issues in long run.

I have a Cross Matt finish helmet. Well some of the good things about the helmet is the Visor. It never gets loose. It stays in the position which you want it to stay. Even the joint never get loose.
About the matt finish, well after every long ride, I clean it with a wet towel, and then dry it with my sis' hair dryer. It still has the matt finish intact, but due to recent mishandling by my friend, its matt finish is going away. But I would prefer it over the glossy one. Only thing is that you have to care for it properly. And ya, do get an extra visor. Coz the visor will get scratches at the minutest hit, even if u rub ur nails by mistake, it will hurt the visor shine. But hey, CROSS is cheap and it gets the job done decently... For more info, PM me.

First time when I saw a Nuvo helmet, it was same that you have. It was amazing. Then only I finalized what I have now.

I used mine yesterday for the first time with my new ride gear. Got my ride gear few days back but waited for my helmet, so that I could take it out all together.

After a day's ride, helmet felt comfortable, really ventilated well and it felt quite inside and wind noise was also not much at speed of around 110 Kmph.
                    Overall, a really nice package.

                    • Is Vega LS2 available with clear visor? With tinted visor it will be difficult to ride a night time.

Does the LS2 come with ISI mark? May be the traffic police could not understand other certification other than ISI marks and catch us.

                      • @ Sudeep / Kariznin / other Nuvo owners - What is your impression of the visor of your helmet? I have had a chance to look at a Nuvo helmet a while back and I was surprised to find that its visor was extremely flimsy and flexible. Your thoughts?

LS2 does have a clear visor. I got one with tinted visor and then got a Bell clear visor for Rs. 400 i guess

And LS2 is DOT certified, as it says

Visor is really very well built and has good solidity. I didn't felt any time that it lacks strength.

Oh! I don't mean the quality. I don't think Nuvo has any quality issues, I meant I didn't quiet like the paint scheme.
