Yes even I was surprised when he said the price
. I have earlier paid 600 for another pair of off-road pro-biker gloves which I got from Laxmi Nagar and later found out that same are available for 280 in Karol Bagh
, I guess now its a good idea to search other shops around it also, If you say to a shopkeeper that Chopra or ABC is giving this thing for this much, yu r surely going to get a good bargain.
But there is no more Variety even in the Karol Bagh market as far as gloves are concernd
..

I had that problem on my left hand... Used some cotton at the fingertips to make my knuckles line up with the guard exactly... Working fine now...Originally posted by r1_in_my_blood View PostSame here,,it was hurting my right hand's knuckle..i made few tight fists while wearing it..and .its fine now..Last edited by NikhilB; 12-09-2010, 01:40 PM.I like 'em Naked

I have been searching for jackets in US sites and found Speed and Stregth Twist of fate mesh jacket as the best option for the hot weather of Hyderabad. The only issue I see with this jacket is the fact that theres no pocket in the liner and hence an issue when wanting to keep my phone and wallet in the jacket when it rains.
I was also interested in Joe Rocket Honda Mesh jacket but dint find a proper review of it so not sure.
@Jithu: I was searching for SS jacket review and found that you own the same SS jacket and hence need your views about it. Also, what size jacket is it?

I also wanted a Mesh jacket for the Hot whether in Chennai .But i dont want to carry around a separate rain jacket for rain . This SS jacket got 100% waterproof liner thats why i went for this . If you see the videos you can see that the protection it offers is pretty good.Originally posted by harishsangwan View PostI have been searching for jackets in US sites and found Speed and Stregth Twist of fate mesh jacket as the best option for the hot weather of Hyderabad. Regarding My jacket , it is really a "Twist of fate " I was supposed to get the jacket by now but my first order got rejected due to some credit card address mismatch .Then i called up another friend who will reach India on dec 25 th . Placed a new order (by the time my favourite Red/Black color Large size was over so i placed an order for Blue/Black Large) . Right now only Blue/Black color is left in the medium and large size .The jacket is already delivered to my freind in US . So i cannt comment much about it right now .I am planning for a kerala trip with the jacket in the decmber last week .So hopefully will post a review for the same around jan 1 st week .
Regarding the size two of my freinds here in Xbhp has this jacket.
On person (smokeranddopeR) is 5 feet 11 inch and 72 kg Large is prefect for him .Another friend is 5 feet 6 inch Medium is perfect for him .
I am 5 10 '' 85 Kg and I have ordered Large. One positive thing about this jacket is it has got great size adjutment settings so that the fitting will be ok for most of the persons .
Please refer to the Size chart given on that page (Speed and Stregth Twist of fate mesh jacket) .Please note that it is chest size .
Regarding the waterproof pocket , Why are you spending extra 30 $ just for water proof pocket to put your wallet and other goodies? For 1350 Rs you can get Cramster turtle bag where you can
have your wallet , phone , rain liner of the jacket and what else .
So my suggestion is go for
SS Twist of fate mesh and buy a cramster magnetic tank bagLast edited by Jithu; 12-09-2010, 03:17 PM.sigpic

^^
I am 6' - 6' 1", 82kg and 34waist. I guess Large would be a good fit for me too. Not sure if I have gone blind but theres not size chart on the site. Instead, I found the chart in at newenough.com.
The FieldSheer jackets are looking pretty good too. Know someone who owns one?
Also, could you recommend some knee guard and gloves. I am a little confused regarding gloves particularly.

But no problem you can get it from hangem high jacket page.
Speed and Strength Hang 'em High Jacket - Street Bike - Closeout - Motorcycle Superstore
I think large should fit you
FieldSheer is also good but none of their mesh jackets in close outsale have 100% water proof liner right? Also i have no idea about the size .
Regarding knee guard there are plenty of option available in the same site for pretty good rate including alpine star reflex (25$). But the reason i didnt go for them is most of them had only two straps(just like cricket pad ) .The third strap that will actually keep the knee gaurd in knee is missing. Only few models have that . Check out AXO TMKP
AXO TKMP Knee Guard - Dirt Bike Motocross - Motorcycle Superstore
and Icon
Icon Field Armor Knee/Shin Guards - Street Bike - Motorcycle Superstore
both of them are good and have the third strap which will help you to hold the knee guard in place .
In India cramster(1.5 K ) and Scoyco K11 (1.1 K ) has same design as Axo TMKP .Scoyoco is not bionic while cramter is boinic which offeres more flexibility in the leg movement but scoyco has better quality .
I bought my self a crasmter as Scoyco will be avialable only from jan 1 st week .
If you have budget you can go for alpinestart boinic (5K)
. Gloves it is not at all recommended to buy online unless you have tried the same brand same model personally .
I suggest you to go for DSG Revive . It is a really good VFM .
Go and try out your self and buy the size that fits you perfectly .Last edited by Jithu; 12-09-2010, 03:47 PM.sigpic

Checked that out. None has a waterproof lining.Originally posted by Jithu View PostFieldSheer is also good but none of their mesh jackets in close outsale have 100% water proof liner right? Also i have no idea about the size .
Thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't noticed that before. Assumed that its something that all the knee guards will have.Originally posted by Jithu View PostRegarding knee guard there are plenty of option available in the same site for pretty good rate including alpine star reflex (25$). It sure looks good but one of the reviewer says "I was very disappointed in these. The padding was very thin. I tested them a few times by falling softly to the carpeted floor on my knees and there was significant sharp pain in my knees from the fasteners that connect the pads to the plastic outer shell. Would not recommend."Originally posted by Jithu View PostCheck out AXO TMKP Knee Guard
Other reviewers dint test the same so I guess I will have to his word for it.
The video on Youtube shows its flexibility and the reviews are not bad either, except one which says it could get a little sweaty. But then the price tag of $65 doesnt encourage me enough.Originally posted by Jithu View Post
So you using them already? If yes, then hows the comfort level and how good is the padding?Originally posted by Jithu View PostI bought my self a crasmter as Scoyco will be avialable only from jan 1 st week .

The third Strap will ensure that the knee guard doesnt move around much .Originally posted by harishsangwan View PostChecked that out. None has a waterproof lining.

Ha ha that same review made me skeptical about the buy .But infact it got many good reviews and it is known as one of the best knee guards under 50$ . My friend is already bringing a load of other stuffs so i decided to get one from here itself rather than asking him to bring this one too.Originally posted by harishsangwan View PostIt sure looks good but one of the reviewer says "I was very disappointed in these. I have used it only for small trips (<50 km ) it is really comfortable .Originally posted by harishsangwan View PostSo you using them already? If yes, then hows the comfort level and how good is the padding?
Padding is also good. But never over expect from a Knee guard that cost 1.5 k (The finishing and all is not that top notch ) . It will offer descent protection and is VFM thats it .Anyday better than the local imitations of Fox and axo availble here.
I never used Scoyco but from what i heard it is better than cramster so
if you can wait till jan you can try that. I went for cramster as I wanted a knee guard for my Xmas trips in and around kerala .sigpic

Check out DSG Revive . That will fit your budget and will serve the purpose .Originally posted by sherry_unicornlover View PostHI All,
I need gloves with decent protection and especially for winters (the one's which i have are not at all suitable for winter riding.)
So, i will be greatful if anyone can suggest anything till 2k in Delhi.
Cramster also has gloves in this range but all meant for summer riding.
It may not provide the warm feeling you are expecting .sigpic
