  • Riding Jacket

    Hello guys,

I am planning to buy riding jacket, with good all round ability. As I am residing in Pune, wet weather and chilly morning n nights need to be considered.

I have decided on budget of 6K can stretch to 7 if, product demands.

I had sorted down DSG Triton n DSG phoenix, but as I read comment above, triton is not good for summers. What other options do I have ?

    Also some good knee gaurds

Upto you; the one's I suggested will also do their job. If you're brand conscious, you may opt for Joe Rocket, very nice brand, ofcourse superb in quality.

i'm planning to buy some riding gears this month...
a jacket, gloves and a helmet.
i have finalized on the helmet.

so guys i'm looking for a jacket right now, as u know that kerala climate consist of heavy summer & monsoon..
so i'm looking for a meshed jacket with a removable waterproof lines so that i can use it throughout the year

imy budget is 13k & i have some options
              my first option is the
              Alpinestars T-GP Plus Air Jacket - 8,499.00Rs

but the think that keep me away from this jacket is it does't have a waterproof liner my next option is

Alpinestars T-GP-R Air Jacket - RevZilla

this one have a waterproof liner and fits in my budget but its not available in India

my dream is to bought a Dainese but it doesn't fit in my budget...so what u guys say...? any suggestions or advice

also prefer any gauntlet glove within 2.5k.
              thanks in advance
No jacket is waterproof to Indian riding conditions except fieldsheer & dianese like proper touring jackets

Considering India's hot climate I advise you to buy this A* T-GP air plus from PlanetDSG or get yourself a RJays octane jacket (I use it every single day in Goa & trust me its very comfy in this hot & humid climate)
As far as gloves are concerned go for DSG full gauntlet gloves like the primal

              • How much is the custom duty charged on motorcycle riding gear??
                How much for helmets?
                Jackets?
                Gloves?
                Boots?

All of this would be coming through cargo to mumbai, So any chance of escaping or bargaining on duties??

                  • Suggest Riding Gloves for Leh

I am looking at one waterproof gloves (waterproof and thermal insulation) and one vented Air glove for Leh Ride this year.

I am looking at the following

Is DSG Carbon waterproof ?? anyone who tried and tested this?
How about the DSG Primal/Vector ?

I personally wear a DSG Review daily commute - its excellent in all respects, only thing is no wrist protection.

yup...i know that bro...so i'm considering a jacket that can withstand a medium downpour....
about the A* T-GP plus air, i doesn't have a waterproofing liner, so its completely a summer mesh jacket, that's why i'm considering the A* T_GP R air

I have a pair of XElement gloves and am very happy with their quality. I have a feeling with other brands you're just paying the premium for the brand name, cause even with brands such as Astars you hear about stitching and velcro issues. That is what drove me to go for xElement and have been very happy with the decision. They are not waterproof though.

+1000. Buy a duckback or a rain suit to wear on top. Waterproof capabilities should not be a criteria for your jacket.

In that case I will suggest you to go for RJays Octane jacket. Im from Goa & have used it in medium to light downpour & has kept me & mt phone perfectly dry on a 50km ride back home
