DSG Revive and Cramster TRG2 both come in your price range i think, i myself have the cramster trg2 and its really good as far as i have used it. Got good ventilation and full gauntlet too. I wanted to have vector but dint have stock in the shop. So you might want to look into both models.Originally posted by 111diablo111 View Post--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was using a small sized one and had a slight problem when i rode a faster machine. Got a ninja 250 and needed a better lid. Got a friend to carry an AGV K3 helmet for me from the US and decided to go XS size.. I feel its a tad too tight and might want to give it away. PM me if anyones interested. Its glossy black.
Cheers

It's an excellent jacket Rony. Have seen my friends using it. Yes being a mesh jacket, it's a cost bomb, but hey's it's A* and we way more for the premium associated. If you like it, go ahead. It's an excellent buy.Originally posted by Rony View PostI am getting Alpinestars T-RC-1 Air Jacket for 12k ... Is it a good deal ... How good is the jacket ?

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Guys, i too am confused between DSG primal and Cramster TRG2. I need a full gauntlet one. Everyone using either of the two say its nice. But i want a camparo, someone who has tried, tested or used both can suggest the better of these. I also liked the spartan ones, but are they camparable to the ones above and are they available for purchase? You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

DSG Primal, I mean it's like been there, done that glove, most of them have it and it's proven it's worth. Now the Cramster TR2G too falls in the same bracket, and pretty good VFM.Originally posted by MeTaL_MaNiaC View PostGuys, i too am confused between DSG primal and Cramster TRG2. Now both of them carbon fiber, both are made of glove, and both are full gauntlet. But I would lean for the DSG Primal why? It has a slightly better gauntlet coverage than T2RG. Other than this, both are excellent gloves to partake with.
SPARTAN, though a newbike into the arena here, have seen one of my friend use it, excellent stuff from what I've seen and observed. Though not used it, I can vouch it won't disappoint. Go back two threads and you can see bikerfas' reviews about his new SPARTAN jacket and how to contact them. And they provide excellent customer response, personally so pleasant to deal with. Do check them out!
Best thing is look for a glove and go for it based upon what your need is. Simple
If you start comparing, you only get more pissed.
Cheers!

Boot Dilemma
Now I have a big dilemma as to which boot to get.
I had zero'd in on the Cortech Latigo Air RR's, I had waited patiently for the new stocks to arrive, I had done my homework, these had my 3 prerequisites, 1) air flow, 2) a reasonable level of protection, 3) VFM
Now as our Rupee is performing piss poor against the US Dollar, I'm having a rethink, I had a quote from ICC World it comes to Rs11,500 (approx) 7.5 grand for the boot and 4 grand for shipping, duties and commission, I had budgeted for a maximum of 10 grand.
So now I'm having the dilemma, whether to go for something I can procure in India or not, now the choices are slim and are as follows.
1) Axo primato II, reasonably priced, protection for the ankle not good enough though and excessive space in the calf region (according to reviews). Will be checking it out in a few days, but have my reservations.
2) Rjays Altitude, reservations are as above, not sure about the ankle protection on this one, sees better than the Primato.
3) Forma Mirage, these look sexy and protective, not sure about the availability though, will check with the vendor
4) AGV Sport Laguna, seems like a good all rounder, price is reasonable over here, 9k, on the downside it's got the full on power ranger look.
5) Then there's this one PGS BIKING GEARS DELHI, INDIA, specs look good, but, a huge butt, made by a unknown brand from pakistan, possibly these guys manufacture for a reputable company or maybe they don't New Page 1, probably will avoid this one.
6) Sidi vertigo, at a touch under 17k, they will stretch my budget beyond what I want to pay, though I know they will see me through the next 10 years or so. Pretty much guaranteed the quality.
7) Go for the Latigo's, they seem good enough, there are many positive reviews for this.
Now if I go for the Sidi's, my riding pants will have to wait sometime, possibly a very long time, I don't really want to do that. If I go for the Latigo's, I may feel robbed or may land up with the wrong size, still tempting me, especially after waiting months for these to come back in stock. With the Axo's, the price is sweet, but I don't really want to compromise on ankle protection. With the Laguna's, the price is right, only no reviews have been found and the power ranger look, with the Rjays, they just don't appeal, plus not much in the way of reviews, also a bit power rangeresque. The Forma's look good at 10.5k, not much in the way of reviews, the only feedback I have found was for the water proof version, many reports of leaking, but otherwise satisfied, i am not interested in waterproof though, as for the R-pro, I don't think I can risk my life with an unknown entity, I guess it would be nice if more people gave proper reviews and feedback over here, it shouldn't be too hard to compile as we are hardly spoiled for choice.
Any advice on any of the above would be appreciated.

More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

Hi Stefan,Originally posted by stefanm View PostNow I have a big dilemma as to which boot to get.

If the selection was to be made from the choice above, my advice would be to go for the SIDI's - they are first and fore-most a footwear company and their design and quality control are hard to fault. That said, I would first narrow down what kind of boots I wanted in the first place. Sport/Track , Touring or Off-road. Your selection seems based on a certain style but is that what suits you?
Many guys buy Sport/Track boots and then regret it because they are unsuitable for touring, which requires far more flexibility. Track/Sport boots tend to be stiffer because of a steel shank in the sole for stiffness and protection and are therefore more difficult to walk around in - so if you want to ride someplace and then trudge around, this type is not the best option. For real track riding, all the boots in this selection are wannabe's anyway - entry level track - since they do not have anti-pronation devices, and many of the bells and whistles of premium models. I think you're not the moto-x type, so we'll leave that out of the discussion for now.
Of the "branded" lot of them, I can tell you that Cortech, Axo, Forma and Rjays all outsource their boots and these models all come from Pakistan, since I've used, owned or tried them all. Of this lot, I'd recommend the Cortech's as the best designed and made.
Though I haven't used the AGV, I suspect the that it is outsourced from China from the same factory that makes Joe Rocket, since I have a pair of made-in-China JR SuperStreets, whose lower half looks almost identical. Incidentally JR too outsource most of their manufacturing. I'm not even considering the other two -RPro and PGS since you didn't seem inclined either.
One of the most critical and difficult components in footwear is the soles. Most companies simply source an available sole made off a commercial mould because of the phenomenal costs involved in proprietary moulds whereas companies like SIDI, dedicate their financial muscle into R&D and development of proprietary products. Ultimately, that's the difference you have here. Outsourced products or dedicated design and development of specific products. Mass market brands will always be cheaper than professional spec and design. I'm not advocating professional level products only either - after all, most of us have only consumer or at best pro-sumer needs and not professional level gear.
Also important to remember is my first point - if this is your first and only pair of boots, you might want to consider what type you're buying. Like all other gear, there is no one-boot-fits-all solution. I know this after years of trying, buying and being disappointed.
I now keep three pairs for different purposes and will readily admit that my super-comfy touring boots are the most used, since I hit the track only a few times a year and use short ankle street boots only for that extremely rare ride in the city.
Hope this helped a bit!
Cheers!

I would agree with Sunny's line of thought on analyzing your rqeuirements and then buying a pair of riding boots especially if it is your only pair. I bought the Alpinestar SMX2 street boots Alpinestars S-MX 2 Boots - Street Bike - Motorcycle Superstore because 99% of my riding is within the city and I wanted riding boots for all non - office day to day riding.
I see a lot of people spending good money on proper boots and then using them only on sunday rides / track rides because they are uncomfortable and cant be used for 'normal' usage though they ride their bikes everyday. It all comes down to personal preference.
