I use this under a mesh type jersey when I go off-road. The shoulders and elbows can be removed to fit under a regular mesh jacket too. Am planning to wear this under my touring suit to Leh this year.

Got it from RD for about the same too. Good build but seems a little lightweight. I prefer my Forcefield body armour - much more serious stuff. Bit pricey though - Forcefield Extreme Harness Adventure | Forcefield Body Armour and Climate ControlOriginally posted by kidpikoon View Post

Hi, I am going for a trip to leh, and looking at the following gear:
1) Rjays sprint boots: has any one used them, any reviews, are they really waterproof, how about all day comfort. Looking at only ankle high boots.(Are there any other alternatives in the same price range)
2) Cramster Tundra gloves: same questions as above
3) Joe Rocket leather jacket: I already have this jacket, but it is very heavy. Will it be good for touring, or can it get uncomfortable. Plus, it has a sleeveless thermal liner( can it be converted to full sleeves), no waterproofing either.
Sorry for so many questions, but am really confused, as this will be my first road trip on a bike. I have a duke 200 and will go in the second week of july. Looking forward to advice and suggestions. Thanks.

Rjays sprint boots: they are waterproof but carry extra socks as your feet will sweat.....also, make sure that your rain paints are long enough to cover the ankles otherwise water gets in.....if you haven't bought don't go for it...for laddak buy gum boots (very cheap) and rjays you could buy but that would not be helpful in watercrossing from what i have read in the past posts.....so for normal riding before you get to the mountains sprints should be good enough.........otherwise try out alpinsestars webgore tex boots; or rjays high ankled boots like h20 and other high ankle ones....
GLOVES: try alpinestars drystar......
for raingear get a duckback rain suit; you can orderonline ..search on google for duckback rain suits india.....

my riding gear
hey guyz,
At last got ma riding gear and its really nice, which tend me to write about it .
so,this is the brand which i got
i think for many it may be a new one . yes,its fresh and new . i got it from spartan pro gear in chennai . mr.sunny an Xbhp'ian owns this showroom . it is said that the gears are from us and its been tagged under the name of spartan
so,finally it is the rear part of my jacket with its back protector
and these are my riding gears
i even got an glove too, which was so comfortable but its warm inside
basically its a full glove where we can use it for racing too ..
the gears are built with 3M light material which is good even at dim light
and the gears comes with an blazer cover with hanger .which is quite good because in many shops they just give the gear blankly
since, its my first post please excuse me if i have committed any mistakes and correct me if have done so ..
thank you xbhp .....

Thanks for your inputs, but a* is way out of my budget. I don't feel comfortable in boots longer than 6''. Will reconsider rjays sprnts.Originally posted by sanjay8214 View PostRjays sprint boots: they are waterproof but carry extra socks as your feet will sweat.....also, make sure that your rain paints are long enough to cover the ankles otherwise water gets in.....if you haven't bought don't go for it...for laddak buy gum boots (very cheap) and rjays you could buy but that would not be helpful in watercrossing from what i have read in the past posts.....so for normal riding before you get to the mountains sprints should be good enough.........otherwise try out alpinsestars webgore tex boots; or rjays high ankled boots like h20 and other high ankle ones....

I think the Cramster Breezer with its linings removed will provide great ventillation..but as pointed out earlier, some discomfort should be expected.Originally posted by rkakkar View PostIs it worth the investment to switch from Scoyco? I hear one story that in city traffic, it wouldn't make a difference.
On the other hand, I seriously like the protection my JK-17 comes with when compared to the Breezer.Used to be on all fours before..Finally evolved to have fun on two

The Spartan ProGear site will be functional soon. Some tech issues with integrating other sites or some such thingamajig - all just bounces over my tech-challenged dinosaur brain!
SOL dealers in Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Mumbai already have stocks - Cochin and the others will soon follow suit.

I think that any mesh jacket will be more suitable in a hot and humid climate. Can't comment on the armor though!Originally posted by Manoharrohan View PostI think the Cramster Breezer with its linings removed will provide great ventillation..but as pointed out earlier, some discomfort should be expected.

JK17's guards are much better than cramster /dsg, specially the back protector (personally compared it), that is the USP of Scoyoco but when it comes to climate, mesh jacket are betterOriginally posted by Manoharrohan View PostI think the Cramster Breezer with its linings removed will provide great ventillation..but as pointed out earlier, some discomfort should be expected.
