Why do you think your post was deleted? THINK!Originally posted by mayank.travadi View Post
That's nonsense. Your fake and low end knee guards are better than nothing, thats all. But if you value your skin ( and knees ) more than Rs.500 or Rs.1000/- or whatever the low end fakes cost, invest in proper knee guards. The KNOX aren't cheap, but the money you spend on them is not wasted. You will appreciate this in a crash. The KNOX guards come with impact absorbent padding designed to take a blow, while the low end stuff comes with sheet foam to prevent you from cutting yourself while putting it on. They could have easily defended by saying it was original fox armor imported or something
But a question does arise that how come a member of GODS wear such a protective gear...i believe they are sensible and a mature group of people and wear the right kind of protective gear
does it have so much of protection..it costs almost 1/4th of normal mesh jackets..Pulsar 200NS parts list

I understand it. I mean come on being ATATT advocate myself I definitely wouldn't recommend cheap stuffs. See I've personally seen my friend wearing a locally reputed brand (I won't name the brand, you know what it is) being thrown off the slammed into divider leg first and wearing a same brand leather jacket.Originally posted by Sunnyside_up! Upon inspection if he wouldn't have worn it, his knee caps and bone would have been abode heaven. The pad didn't have a single crack, crazy abrasions all over ripped Velcro but it lasted till the whole trip in one piece. We were all doing 75+
I always advice under ones discretion. Even when I took a downhill fall my old knee guards did just fine and lasted for 1+ years before throwing it away.
90% people use AXO FOX CRAMSTER but they are way better than wearing nothing at all and I can definitely say people who've had a slide or crash with knee pads on would vouch for it
Affordability plus practicality is key here. I fir one personally would like to see every single motorcyclist to have Arai Helmet with A* leather jacket boot and gloves, but you're wise and you know what I'm trying to say.
Cheers!

little help required here
B7ACKTHORN
my search for riding cum casual shoes has brought me to these final choices according to preferences.
1) alpinestars fastlane shoes (107$) - (Amazon.com: NEW ALPINESTARS FASTLANE ROAD RIDING SHOES, BLACK/WHITE/YELLOW FLUO, US-9.5: Automotive)
2) tcx x-square boots ( 99.9$)-(TCX X-Square Boots - RevZilla)
3)teknik striker boots (84$)-(Amazon.com: Teknic Striker Boots (44) (BLACK): Automotive)
4)speed and strength run with bulls shoes (81$) - (Speed and Strength Run with the Bulls Shoes - RevZilla) - major cons were the sole wearing out pretty soon.
5) vega merge boots (70$) -(Vega Merge Boots : Amazon.com : Automotive) - have the least info about these.
Since im looking for using these shoes daily and through the college comfort while walking also matters. Also these shoes are costly ,so I'm looking for the one which last a while.Last edited by Xzibit Roll; 05-26-2013, 11:17 PM.

Handwash, mild detergent, dry hang. Don't wring. For stubborn stains, use little brushing.Originally posted by Aytas_sss View PostWhat exactly would be the best way to wash and dry a mesh jacket which had been caught unawares in a freak sand/rain storm for a time period not exceeding 3 minutes?

The original version costs US$150/- about Rs.8500/-, way more than most jackets. The eBay stuff is all fake. Have seen it personally. Regarding, the use, you will have to ask the person using it. The product is specced for MX and MTB use only.Originally posted by mayank.travadi View PostI totally understand why it was deleted..

I think that guy in that FB picture is the founder of G.O.D.S. and is a doctor by profession ............... so it makes me wonder too if he's running on fake ones (but I think they may be real) ............. though in any case I think a stunt safety jacket is not at all good to use in road conditions "specially" when you are on a SBK (and I have seen him wearing the same in many of their G2Gs) !!

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Well I have to wash my dsg rage every alternate Sunday. First I dip it in a soft detergent usually a shoe shampoo for around an hour. If it's a little too dirty then add hot water and keep it in there for a little longer. Then I scrub it lightly using my woodland shoe brush.(if you've seen it then you'll understand). Then rinse it in water and dry in shade. Avoid scrubbing too hard, using hard detergents and wringing the jacket. In the end it will be as good as newOriginally posted by Aytas_sss View PostWhat exactly would be the best way to wash and dry a mesh jacket which had been caught unawares in a freak sand/rain storm for a time period not exceeding 3 minutes?

Yes I tried the bionic at outdoor travel gear, very much it it place after tightening of strap...Originally posted by saurabhjd View PostIf you are talking about bionic ones then they are awesome. I am using them. They are damn good. Padding is amazing. And most importantly, unlike all other knee guards, these don't even move an inch from its place.

One query , the strap of the knee guard is reliable Knox bionic.. Because I have seen the alpinestar bionic straps get elongated after using it for some time and doesn't sit at right place.
Please give your short review of the Knox bionic.. It will be great help for me , I am planning to buy one next month.

I think I will buy one, tried one at outdoor travel gear .. The bionic one are the best .... And the protection is quite good till shin... Waiting for the next salary to get one😊Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostKNOX stuffs are good indeed they are one of the reputed armor manufacturers.
But trust me I'd definitely recommend you for the Knox even though priced at a premium. But trust me those budget brands do the job just five t when it comes to knee guards.
Cheers!
