Just for info. I live in Navi Mumbai.

I already own a SOL MetalMan 68sII and DSG Carbon gloves.

I went through major part of the whole thread and have shortlisted the following.

Jacket:
(Budget upto 8k)

As I live in Mumbai, where the climate is generally hot and humid I'd like to go for a mesh jacket.
I liked the Spartan Helios as it comes with a rain liner and also KNOX armor.

As I was going through the thread I found that the quality of Rjays and JR is relatively better than Spartan.
How true is this? I would like the jacket to last for at least 2 years with weekly use.

Riding Boots:
(Budget upto 9k)

I have shortlisted Alpinestar's SMX1 and AXO Primato II.
Both of these are within my budget where the A* exceeds the AXO by around Rs.500.

As the A* SMX1 is a short riding boot, will it give the same level of protection if worn with knee guards
compared to AXO shoes with knee guards?
I am slightly inclined towards the A* as they're short while AXO are full length riding boots.(ease in movement while not riding)
Which one should I go for?
Also, I do understand that both of these are not waterproof but they wont get damaged if worn during
monsoons right?
Also to clarify, these pair of shoes will be worn only when going for a long ride ie around 7-8 days a month.
Any other options within my budget are welcome!

Thanks
-Rishab
Helios is definitely a great product. Rjays quality is on par. But Joe rocket is superior i would say.

As for Boots , you have a range of option with Rjays boots, have a look into their Facebook page. They have different types of boot, with even waterproof ones suitable for touring.

Cheers

Still testing the Spartan Icarus for Mumbai Highway + street ride.
So far so good.

I'll post full views soon.

Just wanna know "After coming from a 50km round trip. Obviously if I'm sweating the jacket must be absorbing.
So should I keep it in sunlight after coming back to home or under Fan for cool dry ?"

Guys tested the hyperion in the rain too. Both with and without liners in heavy showers to full blown kerala monsoon type rain. And i am more than happy. Details of the result will be updated in my blog , which would complete my review i have already posted some time back. I will post a link. Sunnyside_up,sir...i am very much happy the way the jacket performed. I have indeed made the right choice.

Sunlight is never recommended (specially for leathers) ......... let it dry under fan

My friend presented me with a pair of water-proof made-in-Pakistan Teknic gloves that he brought from the USA. I already have a pair of all-weather Cramster gloves.

Jacket Rjays Jet Stream II (all Weather), Daily use & top notch quality... (using same from last 1 year... 28000 km 11 months, daily use.) 9.000 rupees... Go for it you will never regret.

It can last for 2 years (minimum) with daily use... you can see my Jacket it still intact as it was a year before... Quality of Rjay's is slightly better then Spartans .. but if not Rjays Jet Stream (for some uknown reason) then surely Spartans without a doubt ....... IMHO

Riding Boots - Rjays got options here too, look will be dull or say quite rigid compare to A* or Jope Rocket or SIDI ... Check ONEAL MX Boots too (11k).. I would recommend to go with Full Length Riding Shoes & get Riding Pants too ...

If short length shoes then Riding pants make more sense !

Good. Don't forget to upload some good. Pics.

You can use sunlight for textile, but not so much so that it gets roasted. Give it 15 to 20 mins if it's wet moderately. Heavily wet, 1 hour to 1.5 hour.
krish, excellent. Happy for you.

Listing feature for feature along with pics and measurements? Am genuinely curious since I don't have a Jet Stream III at hand to evaluate.

If it is without knuckle protection, then it is obviously not a riding glove !! and so it is not so safe to wear on long rides

Motocross gloves, they don't have knuckle protection too. It's not necessary that every riding apparel should look/function like a "Street/Track" apparel.
