Can anyone tell me how good is dsg rage in rain. Does the reason liner give adequate protection or not?

Also I'm looking for some good quality rain cheaters. Can anyone provide me information about that.
Checked out quechua and wildcraft ones but they were very thin and a bit costly for the quality being offered.

Haven't yet rode in the rain with the jacket on. I reckon using a raincoat over the jacket would prove to be a much better protection against rain water seepage than wearing the jacket with the rain liner under it. It will also mean that the jacket would be soaking wet when you reach your destination. I am planning on purchasing a raincoat large enough to cover the jacket and long enough tuck it under the jacket.

I'm thinking of doing the same. Also the armour would get wet which makes me wanna avoid using just the rain liner.

Velocity Gear - JUGGERNAUT motorcycle/ motocross/ X-sports body armor This armor seems to be favored around advrider and other forums. Is it worth buying? It doesn't have mesh so no chance of getting torn soon. Also this armor doesn't cause back pain to riders with slightly deformed back as mentioned in this in-dept review at Juggernaut Motorcycle Armor Shirt - webBikeWorld.

The dude in the above video survives the fall with just some mild bruise on his butt while wearing the Juggernaut armor. These makes me want to buy it but I need to consider the heat.
          I am back!

This is far way meaner than the FOX Armor. Tell you what, almost any brand, in its nascent stage or any brand at a reputed level always EMPHASIZE the fact that theirs is the best, and they will go to any level to prove the theory.

Now with OODLES and OODLES of riding gear goodies out there, it's really kinda picking a needle in a haystack for a newbie.

I repeat it again, the FOX one you've quoted quite a few pages back and this one is more or less the same, the latter however being a little more robust. But before purchasing this you should bring certain points to your mind.

            What's my use, number one.

Is it practical to carry this everywhere I go

And what happens if you happen to need to wash. Except the back protector I don't think all other armors can be removed, and there are a lot of "what ifs" that arise with these.

And fourth cost and correct size, with these things you need to always be a little extra careful for the right fit, else you just become a "jitter of plastic" on the road.

I don't think anyone here has reviewed the one above you've posted, but in theory the FOX and this are pretty much the same with the added benefit of removable back protector and using them independently with other jackets.

But if you're really into this thing, I'd definitely give you a thumbs up for this one as opposed to FOX armor, any day.

            Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Guys , has anybody heard of SAS Tech armor ?
I am having the Hyperion with the foam back protector, now i can't upgrade to the knox bac karmor since they don't sell it as seprately. So I have a shop here , DJ helmets in kerala(Cochin) , they stock spartan and rynox gears, now they sell SAS tech back armor , which can be used in a* and spartan jackets. So i did some searching around in the net and it seems well and good, but want to know if anybody knows more about this particular brand.
              @Sunnyside_up! @B7ACKTHORN , any idea ?

              Cheers

Krishna - as of June 1st, SPG is providing back armour upgrades to existing customers of the jackets which can carry it. The armour offered is the KNOX ADVANCE X for Rs.1800/-. SasTec is also a very good armour brand. I have it in my present prototype being tested.

Sweet..!! Was thinking of testing the sas tech armor. Looked like a worthy upgrade when i surfed the net about it. I also saw your old post about it when i searched this thread. Thanks for the info.
BTW is it available only through online purchase of can i get it form the authorised re sellers. It is easier for me to get it form cochin from DJ helmets.

The armour upgrade is available only directly from SPG. Simply order it and they will courier to you. I think they might require a proof of purchase though from where you bought it, since this is offered only to legitimate existing customers.

Oh..ok, as for proof of purchase, i had not received a bill of purchase for the jacket and gloves i had ordered, i had put a mail about that in the customer care email id but did not get any response for that. Anyways. I will be considering getting it by next month only. So i have enough time to sort things out if i am opting for this.

Also one more question, would you say sas tech or knox to be superior since you have used both.

I'm using the Level 1 of both so I can't make out any real difference. If you can get the Level 2 in SasTec though, I would recommend that as the KNOX sold by SPG is Level 1. Only be sure that the armour will fit in your jacket pocket since the sizing and dimensions are always different brand to brand.
