@Rakesh Rok : Jacket : Leather jacket wont save the bones, thats why riding jacket comes with armours.
Helmet : If you are using ISI marked helmet, sorry to say, it wont go for track.
Gloves : Knuckle protection, full gauntlet gloves are required for track riding
Shoes : Riding shoes mandatory.

One piece and 2-piece suits are allowed depending on which track you are going : Kari or MMSC. If its BIC,Greater Noida, you require one piece leather suit.

Like cricket, football etc biking is itself a sport, and therefore it has its own set of gears and equipment. That's why using any alternative is never adequate no matter whatever you use. I here mean to say that there is no alternative to a motorcycle riding jacket. I hope you get my point.

If I were you I would change to an all leather glove.

depends upon your purpose for what you are looking for, say for touring you may need to buy saddle bags too

I am not at all eligible to answer this query as I have never been in a race track environment. Please ask and hope that seniors/fellow bikers may drop in to help you on this.

@Rakesh Rok : Full riding suit range starts from 30k and goes upto lacs. Two piece would also fall in same price range.
Helmet : It wont do as per my knowledge (ISI marked)
Your leather jacket : Keep it for winters and definately not for riding.
Shoes : Starts from 5k (local) goes upto thousands for a well known brand.

• Riding Jacket : Cramster or Rjays or Rhinox. Kindly Advise

I was looking forward to buying a basic entry level riding jacket (around 5-7k) to go with my new Yamaha Fazer (black & red). Visited various shops namely - Bacchu Motors Tardeo (Rjays), Cramster outlet Bandra and Riders Hub Kandivali (Rhinox). I shall be checking out A2Z Motorcycle store (Mulund) and Babloo Motors (Vashi) soon.

Can any1 throw more light on which brand to go for Cramster,Rjays or Rhinox ?

P.S - I loved the look and feel of the Rhinox Jacket (6.5k) but haven't been able to find out more about the brand on the internet.

Thanks in advance !

Prateek and pranav summed it up real good. But just a word of caution leather jacket just because it's leather won't save you when one incurs impact related injury. Proper armor at the proper places makes a lot of difference with respect to broken bones as opposed to sheer abrasion resistance. Your leather jacket will save you from slides, but if u happen to hit any thing concrete the ball game changes differently.

Regarding boots woodland are good for day to day use but investing in a proper riding boot ensures your foot doesn't go into pieces if theinevitable occurs.

Cheers!

^^ avoid these Fox replicas. The one you're referring to is an armour only & used extensively for stunting - this is subjective & is not approved by many. A proper armoured riding jacket comes with armours anyways. Please do not get wrong ideas seeing pics from another thread. You can browse back to earlier pages on riding jackets, IIRC, a few pages back you'll even see the armours of the riding jacket separately - this should give you an idea.

^^
I was also in the same state of mind earlier.
The armor jacket available for 1.5k is fake fox ones...which do not offer any kind of protection as per xbhp seniors.
The cheapest but quality protection(level 1) is offered by spartan icarus jacket for 4.3k.
Cramster armors are available which are value for money..I think. These are supposed to be worn how, outside or inside regular textile jackets?
Level 2 spine protector(3.2k)+elbow protectors(0.95k)=4.15k
Then there is a problem of having no shoulder and skin protection and ease of use.
I have finally decided to get Icarus after a lot of research.
"Vibes transmitted from crank shaft to frame, then through the bearings of the head stock and into the stem where it meets the triple clamp and into the clip-ons where it is greeted with great pleasure by my hands"-ratfighter mod rtr

alby,Finally you decided for Icarus.good may I advise u also look at short length leather gloves as well.if budget permits that is.
I'll be getting the Helios most prob but waiting for onam.gonna take gloves plus a new lid as well.looking at the dot certified Vega axor helmets(economic at 2k odd) for now.so waiting to make a combo purchase and ask for a good discount from DJ.I've referred the shop to a few of my friends also so if they Make the purchase as well then its a win win.

I also have another enquiry, I intend to buy boots.not proper riding boots but for atleast a year I'm looking at dms boots due to yes budget constraints. Anyone know a good vendor for these at Cochin/online.I'll be wearing those to work.hence not going all out for riding boots.

Forgive me for tagging this picture along, but I was having a good time gagging seeing that guy.
Personally I don't see him as nothing but a fully loaded bikini clad stripper! I mean just look at him, don't be fooled by the bike he has and what he wears. It's purely his discretion on what comes to gears. But it's a shame to see this guy clad on such a cheap *bikini* see through. I can't get low anymore than this.

Definitely the gear has its use, but not on this machine, and not where that machine is intended to run. If you go back a few pages, all through this thread, a major chunk was discussed purely for the versatility of such bikinis. And yes you can wear a bikini on a beach not on a road spec motorcycle, just so that one knows the difference.

Now the difference between a bikini and a proper riding jacket has many advantages, first, you're skin is saved even though the stuff melts, but it saves some skin, and most of the times it saves a good amount. Consider you fall on this bikini, and it's a different story altogether. Yes one might say, air flow bla bla, *but* it's ultimately your skin, your protection that matters.

And regarding the above textile jacket, I don't know whether it has armors as such, because most off roading gear don't have any inbuilt armors, they are just suspended outside the body, if that's the case, then that's a FAIL too.

Kindly invest in a proper riding jacket. It saves your skin, it protects you from rain, wind, insects etc.

Talking of insects let me tell you an example. Imagine you wearing a riding jacket, with the liners on and you get a hornet that gets stuck in your jacket and the first thing the wasp would do is inflict stings, but wearing a good jacket will almost save you in those instances. But what happens when the same happens when you're in a see through bikini? The wasp gets stuck, it inflicts the sting, you suffer agonizing pain, swelling for weeks to come or even worse distract and have a crash. And no rain/wind protection whatsoever.

So bikini's are for girls. Riding jackets are for men.

Cheers!
