re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
I would also like to share a similar experience like this.Originally posted by hirenz88 View PostSubject : Rjays Riding pants quality and experience
Hello guys,
One of my friend recently bought the Rjay's Riding pants from Bachoo Motors, Mumbai. Based on Bachoo Motors recommendation my friend purchased Rjays Pants. While he wore those Rjays pants they were good in comfort and fit however when the Rjays pants were actual tested during his 1st trip it went good and he was satisfied through out his entire trip.
But when he went for his 2nd ride, the threads of my pants started ripping off from the side way in the middle of the journey. He was extremely horrified with the quality of the pants. Below are the pics which might give you clear idea about Rjays pants rather than I saying anything more about the quality of Rjays pants.

So guys before buying Rjays pants, make sure you think because they might look sturdy and good in quality wise. However the pants stiches had given up within short time.

I had visited Bachoo Motors to purchase my gears and he suggested me to take the pant too along with the Rjays octane 2 jacket.
I love the jacket , it's still going strong!! But the pant has given way not once but twice.
I got it exchanged at the first instance from Bachoo and now I'm still awaiting his reply on my second pant.
The thing common with both of the incident is the way the pant is stitched. It just opens up from the sides and from the back and gets pretty embarrassing at time wearing them in public. I had recently done a long trip down South almost 4k kms and by the time I was back the pant had almost given up on me.
I just asked my self one question. Will this pant sustain a fall just incase it happens?
I doubt!! The quality is not at all like the jacket. I'm still awaiting a reply from Zulfi.
Will send him a reminder in a day or two and keep you guys posted.
All I would say is avoid Rjays until they get this right!! My suggestion would be try the Joe Rocket Alter Ego 3.0.

If you looking for gloves that are good I would recommend you go for Dsg Primal, Joe Rocket or Alpine stars.Originally posted by Sandeep Patnala View PostWhat happened with your gloves ?

You can talk to Zulfi ( Bachoo Motors contact person ) and ask him to exchange it with a new one.
The only place where Rjay shines is their Jacket!! Octane 2

I too was skeptical because of the online reviews, but, having owned it for around 6 months I can say that the pants are very comfortable. I think it depends from person to person; Best bet would be for you to check it out personally, besides there are velcro straps at the knee area (hips and calf), so you can adjust it to your comfort.Originally posted by Sird View PostI do not own any Riding Gears from SpartanProGear till now but I was looking for a riding pants and this is what I found :

Hii...
This is Abhijith from bangalore... I own a Pulsar 200ns.. After going through the forum..
I went to the local market to purchase some basic riding gears for my safety..
Thought to go with buying gloves. And searched entire market and came across the pro Biker and Axo Gloves... And I Did not like those
After going about 2 hours of searching I Saw a alpinestar gloves i.e., alpinestar m1 gloves.. And asked the Shopkeeper about the price... And I was shocked to hear the price Just 1700rs and made an inspection of the gloves..
But their was a rubber Part to attach the velcor was cut and that seamed to be minor..
And after googling about the gloves and authenticity... The price was 12500rs and it was original (up to my knowledge and research. )
And Finally showing him the defect grabbed the gloves for 1100rs. And really Happy for what I got.

Where did you buy this from ? Tirumala pitstop/motocross ? Have seen so many fake replicas out there which look almost original but aren't. On some of the producta its very hard to find the genuinity, will reveal its tru colors only after some time.Originally posted by Mr Blackcat View PostHii...

and i have used to a small ride to nandhi hill (80kms ride from home). And even used in rain (not so heavy nor drizzling) they seemed to be waterproof.
coming to comfort, it has pre curved fingers which is very cool..

. I am 5'9" and the size M fits well around the shoulders but the elbows are another thing. Looking at your weight of a paltry 62 Kgs(especially given your height) I am sure the Helios won't fit you in the arms. You'd definitely realize it once you try it on. I was at Moto 101 , Bandra last weekend. Went there looking for the Helios , but realized the elbows are ill fitting. Settled for the Icarus, which is much more conpact and well fitting for my built. Obviously I miss out on the Knox armours but it's around 2K less too. I think for your built, icarus L would be a perfect fit. PS : I think it also depends on what kind of bike you ride, If you ride ,say an R15 or GT 250R, then a bit of loose arms(though not too loose as you never know what position you'd be in while you kiss the ground
